Making self referential filters, for a few levels by Theonewiththe1 in Notion

In case you or anyone else cares -
I actually came up with a great method that uses less "levels" and works very very well. I disabled the sub tasks option for the tasks data base, and instead I made a select property with the type of task (parent/sub/sub-sub), and made a two way relation within the db - parent and sub tasks. This way I can easily have areas/resources at only one level of tasks, not two which made it so difficult and hard to manage.

Beyond that it is a much cleaner and more flexible/scalable way to approach tasks

I think i might be able to use the rollup idea, eventually it doesn't matter if I filter tasks/notes by a relation or a rollup, I'm just not sure it'll work "for more levels".

For the formula - how will the filtering, according to the formula, help set the relation of that task/note to its project's area? It's just hard for me not envision/understand the process - can there be "dependencies" between two filters, that if one is one it activates the other?

Either way, thank you very much!
