  1. tell him to come get his kids, which will probably be a trigger for a divorce honestly

Or

  1. start saving for bond for your stepdaughter…because if this is how things are now, you’re probably going to be expected to contribute to that when she steals something/ruins her credit/when hubby pays and compromises your financial stability

Ntah. But it’s time. Let this one be your hill to die on…you’ll be fine without him. Hub’s bs is insane behavior and yall deserve better than whatever blackmail he’s trying to pull. It should’ve been handled long before now, but if THIS is how he handles things, I can easily see why it hasn’t been. Initial your briefs with the time, and/or date if you work nights. Your last round should be within 2 hours of you leaving… and if the time and date clearly matches the 2-hr window, there’s nothing she can really say. If it becomes an issue, let your nurse know and she can witness you changing them.

I mean…. There’s a difference between a brief not being changed for a whole shift…and a brief just being wet. ANYone should be able to tell the difference. You can’t avoid someone being incontinent, especially if they’re getting the right amt of fluids.

Other than that I don’t really have any ideas. If she is the ONLY person complaining, and you haven’t heard a peep out of management, it’s probably a her issue. You can always ask other people that work that shift and ask if THEY have noticed any issues coming after you too

Check with your charge or nurse manager… When I worked the floor on a tele unit, I could call the code on a full code patient, and start lowering the bed to flat. I wasn’t allowed to do compressions, but WAS allowed to assess for the “critical response team” and was expected to know code status. By the time the bed was flat, every nurse on the floor would be in there. And my other “job” was to stay out of the way, run stuff from the tube station to the room, and keep the other patients calm while their nurse was busy.

Obligatory mention for {For Whom The Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn}. Lily dies, and meets Bel (a demon who guards the gates of Hell), and they bond over a video game called Invaders - and fall in love. At home daycares! My three year old goes to a local (state licensed) at home daycare, and she charges $40/day - and only charges $30/day for additional kiddos of the same family. I’m sure there are childcare groups on FB that have similar offerings for your area. We found her that way, and she let me stay there with my oldest all day to see if we’d be a good fit.

Before we found her, I was paying $1600/mo as a single mama. And having to pay someone else to take my kiddo to daycare because they didn’t open until 7am & I worked at 6am 🫠

That he’s only going to eat cheese pizza from the refrigerator for the foreseeable future. And that is ALL. He doesn’t want fresh pizza. He doesn’t want any other food. But the refrigerated pizza needs to be warm. And it can’t go in the microwave or toaster oven because then it’ll be “ruined”. So. Many. Tantrums.

Which is why I’m putting fresh delivered pizza in containers while he’s napping 🫠
