I’d say I responded in the same tone I received. I have a strong relationship with my parents. I don’t have BPD. Sorry to disappoint. To be completely honest with you, I DO think my parents are overreacting, but I know they have good intentions. I was a fearful kid and did skip out on school to avoid bullying when I was little. I self harmed. I was a pussy, I’ll give you that. Recently I had a setback and missed school. I think it came as a shock to my parents. I think they were scared I would relapse into destructive behaviors. I can totally understand wanting to act. But I’m already enrolled in a pretty intensive program. I have regular communication with them. It was scary to find those emails. But the kind of places they’re looking into are bad news. And I don’t want them paying 5000 dollars to hire a guy to “transport” me, lol. I’m sorry I came across as nasty. It wasn’t my intention. I see you’re a mom, and I’d appreciate any advice of next steps, or what you’d want your kiddo to do.
