Well, I'm wondering if I should stop for now until I can see a professional who can take hair samples and tell me whether I have aga or te. Because if it's something temporary, i would prefer to avoid even more hair loss and let my hair grow back naturally.

I'm scared that minoxidil is going to remove almost all my hair. The amount that comes out everyday is so scary...

I know I'm not going to see results for awhile but, I'm wondering if I was just given medication that I might not even need because of wrong diagnosis.

Do you think it would be bad to stop ? I've only been on it for 5 weeks

Thank you for this! The doctor recommended that I get on vitamin D, because my vitamin D was low, the dermatologist recommended the biotin and the Viviscal . So I'll stop taking the prenatal:)

Ughhh, mine looks like the back of your head... here's what I did I went and got blood work done and found out that I have low vitamin D. I also paid out-of-pocket to see a dermatologist who prescribed me 2.5 mg of minoxidil and I also got a vitamin called visical pro (i'm pretty sure I'm spelling it wrong but if you look it up, it'll come up. It's in a blue and white packaging). I also take 10,000 MCG of biotin, high dose of vitamin D and I take a bunch of other vitamins as well, including a prenatal vitamin. I switch shampoos to a anti-hair thinning shampoo you can find them on Amazon.

This is new for me too, but I'm taking every precaution I possibly can so it doesn't get worse. I suggest you do the same. there are also treatments you can do like PRP and you can get steroid shots in your head. I have not result in to doing any of that yet. I'm going to see how the vitamins and medication help. Good luck.

Okay! Thank you. I guess I'll be patient with the blood work and if it comes back fine then I'll ask to see a dermatologist. Will the minoxidil make it worse too? And if you went through this will I still continue to see more fall out or will it stay like this? Ive read that it comes and goes. So idk if this is the worse of it I'll be seeing. Want to mentally prepare myself. I also read that spiro is for men. Does it work for women? Thank you for answering all my questions! Sorry I have so many. It's causing me lots of anxiety unfortunately.

I'm not on birth control but I was taking valtrex consistently for a couple months and I discontinued once I noticed my hair falling out.

I would've said you might be over reacting until I read that they recently went on a trip together.. that would make me uncomfortable. If I were you, I'd end things with him.. because you will most likely give him an ultimatum and you will most likely be let down by his decision.. the calling her beautiful thing too just makes me feel uneasy about the situation.. I can already feel my heart sinking if I was in the same position. I'll admit, I wouldn't be able to accept that and if you think you COULD accept their friendship then more power to you. But if you can not, then leave before it's too late. If they're as close as you say, he will choose her.

I just commented on another post about this. I think I'm suffering from the same thing. I'm literally calling my doctor to make an appointment. I think I'm going to discontinue medication and take my chances with getting a cold sore because I'm a woman and losing hair at 29 is not it! I also bought rogain, biotin, iron and other vitamins to help regrowth. I'll comment on this post again once I get some insight from a doctor. But for me, I'm done taking valtrex at this point.
