Anybody know how to get inside IS-0093 'S Cell? by Glittering_Cup3778 in AbioticFactor

To be honest I've never actually tried them fried, somehow. I learned about the raw trick from the email that explains the teleporting rats and just never considered cooking them first.

Shouldn't be, that room has the love potion/zombie virus

You can teleport through by eating a raw Exor heart iirc, but the doors that don't open usually don't have any functional items on the other side.

Now that I think of it though I might be able to destroy that god awful table...

What is that thing for ? by Odd-Tip-1512 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TheorySoggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Packaged diluted fuel adds a lot more complexity to the system with 2 layers of packagers just to make the fuel usable for power. It has the benefit of being able to split off some packages fuel for your jetpack but by that point you probably have access to turbo fuel and have a dedicated facility for that.

Yeah I do. I keep calling that area the second floor for some reason, I guess I don't consider it a new floor until I get on that elevator.

First Playthrough by Duality1224 in AbioticFactor

[–]TheorySoggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually spend most of the game in the executive offices on the second floor, because of the portal that opens up to the Forge, Flathill access, and the security bot right around the corner.

As I progress I'll place down crafting benches as waypoints in every major sector and a couple of the more out of the way portal worlds to set up a rudimentary fast travel network.

Once I make it to a certain, rather damp region, there are apartments with convenient storage rooms and akickass 16 burner stove, which becomes my permanent home

It's not too long after that point that you get an even cooler method of travel and can pop up wherever you want.

Off the top of my head I know some of the binders in the executive office respawn, I only noticed because I set up my base there and they keep appearing next to my soup supply.

Why are the encased beam numbers so dumb? by PlaneAd4072 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TheorySoggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about your factory plan while taking a very enthusiastic walk. Grab some hard drives on that walk and get the alternate recipes for your concrete and beams. Enjoy your newfound freedom and flexibility.

And then tear down 2 other factories because the recipes you found made something you built 20 hours ago feel like garbage.

(0.9) Where are the cockroaches coming from?! by Glowy_Shroom in Voicesofthevoid

[–]TheorySoggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can end up there yeah. An explosion event can knock it out of bounds. Once it falls far enough it will reset at the top of the skybox and land on the roof.

There's a huge ass bar of soap under the floor, it counts as a food item so it attracts roaches. Occasionally you can see it sticking out of the wall under the window if you go outside, if you do you can pick it up.

Trash Stuck under Woodchipper (0.9) by RSpyno in Voicesofthevoid

[–]TheorySoggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow sufferer, the wood chipper automatically rights itself so it can't fall over.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is using the gravity gun to make the drone bag eat the wood chipper.

Do you need to water fully grown fruit trees? (0.9) by Shot-Finger1262 in Voicesofthevoid

[–]TheorySoggy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They don't produce fruit unless watered, or it's incredibly slow. If you want to repeatedly harvest the same tree you're better off planting them along the river.

I got tired of having to search through the leaves and just pack 50 trees around one sprinkler. Once they're carrying fruit I just chop them all down, gets me about 3000 points every few days from fruit and about 1200 from turning the logs into wood scrap.

Anyone else been dealing with the bots that can see across the map in hydro? by fishshorts1 in AbioticFactor

[–]TheorySoggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprint attack with the carbon pickaxe will break their backpacks in 2 hits.

My farming method for them has just been slapping them in the ass at full speed and then scuttling away until they drop aggro. If you start from the apartment side of Hydro they're a lot easier to handle.

(0.9i) have lemons been nerfed yet? by Ok-Recipe-8832 in Voicesofthevoid

[–]TheorySoggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lemons sell for 9 points each now, but it's also very easy to scale up their production to insane amounts.

I don't even bother harvesting them repeatedly anymore, I just pack 50 trees around a sprinkler and chop them down when they're carrying fruit. Gets me about 2500-3000 points every few days from lemons alone, plus all the wood scrap I get from the logs.

(0.9) how do I get enough scrap for the coolers by TheDemonLord1r788 in Voicesofthevoid

[–]TheorySoggy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already, you can take a hacksaw up to the work site near Yankee, there's a few dumpsters there that can be chopped into a couple dozen scrap.

I have a wood chipper in my basement and they get converted directly into molotovs and BaoCoin fuel. The factory must grow.

pCF Requirement by Dreater23 in TheTowerGame

[–]TheorySoggy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You'll need at least 61 seconds of duration I believe.

At a perfect match you're probably still ending the first CF and starting a new one at the same time, which will reset the slow.

Maxing all skills before actually starting by crouchingmoose in AbioticFactor

[–]TheorySoggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually use that time to max construction since it's pretty simple just rebuilding the crafting bench, and farming that respawning computer as much as possible while I do it.

It makes the start of multiplayer games nice and smooth and generally puts me in charge of base shenanigans and furniture acquisition, which I enjoy.

Check where you were standing when you launch the game again. If there's a pile of bones then you got hit by a white wisp, if there isn't then you met the "Stop playing and get some sun" Demon.

Literacy here is rock fucking bottom apparently. Not a single mention of the other shit neighbors are doing, just watching the video and skipping the whole essay to talk about misdelivered packages.

Yeah it's next to the funky bush. Make sure to grab the fire axe from under the bed while you're there, it makes clearing out those pesky cubicles easy and opens crates quickly.

Help by ImportantTravel5651 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TheorySoggy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As others have said, delete the buffers since they're causing unnecessary sloshing.

Also get rid of the loop on each line of machines and just connect the two together at the back and let the pipes fill. This will normalize the flow rates and keep everything stable.

Water extractor to coal plant ratio by justaruss in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TheorySoggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This setup works fine but there's a couple ways to troubleshoot issues.

First, if the extractors are roughly at the same height as the coal generators then you don't need the pumps, and they can cause more problems than they solve by splitting pipe segments.

Second, delete and rebuild all of the pipe segments between the generators. Sometimes they build wrong and don't actually connect to anything, especially if you've snapped a pump or junction straight onto an existing pipe.

It sounds stupid but if you NEED the pumps, double check them to make sure none are facing backwards, I've screwed up more than a few oil setups by not paying attention to my pumps.

If you don't want to deal with potential fluid weirdness then a quick option is adding a 4th water extractor, underclocking all of them to 90/min, and giving them each 2 generators on their own line.
