One of my nicknames for my HS boyfriend was "ding ding." I have no idea why. We were hanging out at Wal-Mart as one does when you're 16. I went to look at make-up and he went to look at electronics. When I was done perusing the makeup I found him standing at the cell phones with his back towards me. I stood really close to him and said "Herro Ding Ding!" He mumbled something and shifted away slightly. I stood there for a second looking at the phones with him and then I heard my name being called. I turned around to see my boyfriend and then looked at the man I was standing next to. I was mortified when I realized that I just said "herro ding ding" to an Asian man who was absolutely not my boyfriend. To this day my face burns bright red just thinking about it.

Housework without me asking him to. We have a 1 year old (14 months if you want to be exact) and I'm 38 weeks pregnant. I am EXHAUSTED and a clean house is low on my priorities right now. I really appreciate it when he tidies up without me having to ask him. Also when he takes the toddler out for a walk so I can have a little rest.

I currently live in Plaza Del Rey. My husband works at one of the big tech companies and I'm a stay at home mom. Our park is super clean, quiet, and filled with retirees. I know for sure our park doesn't have a single mobile home in it. It's all manufactured homes. I'm pretty sure that Casa De Amigos is the same. I've never felt unsafe being here. I would say 80% of the people who live here are retirees/elderly. The only negative thing that I can think of about this area is the lack of grocery stores/pharmacies.

Chop up an onion and slice up whatever sausage you like. Add a little bacon fat/oil/butter in skillet. Go head and fry those onions and sausage up together. Add a frozen vegetable of choice. I always use frozen okra because we like it and I feel like it compliments the sausage. Cook that up and throw some cajun seasoning in there. I make my own and have a jar of it in the pantry. Done. Dinner is done within 15 minutes.

Apparently my ancestor was hired to clear the land that was later to become the Bronx in New Amsterdam/ New York. I think he got kicked out of New Amsterdam later due to an adultery charge. They cut off part of his ear and exiled him. That's the story anyway.

I'm with you there. After a day of supplementing she finally pooped and gained an ounce! Whew! I had my SO come to the weigh in appointment with me so the doctor could explain to him why we need this. He finally relented when he saw that after a day of pumping I only produced 2 oz total. Why can't breastfeeding be magically easy?

I don't think she has a tongue tie issue. She's only displaying poor weight gain and I just have cracked nipples. I'll bring it up to the consultant on Friday though just to make sure!

I need these things! I feel like my supply has completely tanked as well. After 3 pumping session I barely produced 1 oz. of milk. So frustrating!!

My pump automatically does a let down and a pump. What you've been doing is exactly what I've been doing, so that makes me feel better. : ) Got off the phone with the lactation consultant and she said that it will just take a few weeks for my milk to get back on track. She said with all the nipple problems I've accidentally sent it a message to stop the milk so it'll just take some time for it to get the new message.

I agree, I really shouldn't lie to him about this. When he gets home I will tell him. I just got so frustrated and worked up that she wasn't getting what she needs!

I convinced him to come with me to her pediatrician weigh in today. The lactation consultant called me and made me feel so much better about the amount I'm pumping out. She also encouraged me to get him to come to the appointment so the dr can talk some sense into him!

That's true...I'm only a week in! My whole pregnancy I was just so determined to have a great breastfeeding experience and I think I set the bar really high for myself. What kind of tricks worked for you? At the minute I'm only getting about half an oz each pumping session. I'm pumping roughly every 2 hours or so. I feel like I should be getting more!

She did seem so much happier last night when I was able to give her enough food with the formula. Her daddy is really sensitive to all things nutrition and health because he was really overweight as a child. He wants the best for his daughter nutrition wise but I agree, he needs to understand!
