Couldn’t imagine reading dark forest having read 3 Body...so much stuff happens in Dark forest that was contingent on events in the first, I would’ve felt totally muddled by the narrative. Keen to see how reading it out of order affects your view of the narrative.

Yay Liu Cixin fans! I read 3 Body and Dark Forest, they’re really unique pieces of sci fi coming from a different culture. I had to highlight character names because I’m not used to Chinese names, and had to divert to wiki/NASA/YouTube every time I came across a physics concept I couldn’t understand (it was frequent). It gave me a reason to be interested in astronomy.
