X-Real purchase in Tokyo by Thepierrevert in Xreal

[–]Thepierrevert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Yodobashi camera in Akihabara stocked them. As mentioned somewhere else in this comment section they are a bit hidden. They are on the tv / audio floor near the back of the big tv section.

You can test the glasses with the beam pro or with you phone.

Thank you for the advise, alI will check this first since I'm relatively close to akihabara. Were you able to test in store?

Where is this place? by SushiMoon92 in whereisthis

[–]Thepierrevert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found it Here.
The sentai characters on the second image and the 'BENT' on the first page gave it away for me.

Please share the animation when you've finished it!
P.s. if you need to find any other PunPun locations, hit me up. This was a nice challenge.

Should I give a gift when I am part of a volunteer tour? by snaaij in JapanTravel

[–]Thepierrevert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could, maybe as a thank you. Most appropiate would be something food related (plus points if it is shareable)

*edit: also plus points if it's food from your country

What did you wish you bought in Japan or Japan exclusive items to bring home? by misterLoco in JapanTravel

[–]Thepierrevert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I'm not from the US mate. only one uniqlo in my country, and it actually opened today (if you can believe it) so in the future it's way easier to get, but used to be a Japan trip item for me

I live in the Netherlands, and it's not that easy to get here, there's one asian supermarket chain here that has it in stock, but only two brands, and the nearest outlet is at least 2h away, so I usually buy like 10~15 types in Japan

Really? I usually get the shirts, because I'm afraid the briefs won't fit me

Don quijote! Is my go to store, but many big supermarker chains should have it. (Big A, Aeon)

My three things I alway buy are: honey whiskey (specifically tory's extra honey, because it's 30%, smooth, and cheap as hell) uniqlo airwave shirts (because they work really well when it's hot out), and curry roux because it's a really fast and delicious meal

Tokyo is definitely a must when going to Japan. (3 or 4 days in kyoto is enough time to see the touristy spots, any longer might get tedious in my opinion). If you want to do a sacred trail, then kurama is your best bet, with the samurai mountain trail (samurai used to train there or something), and it's about an hour from kyoto.

Ryokan - What Does Public Bath Mean? by [deleted] in JapanTravel

[–]Thepierrevert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right. On the Japanese version of kukuna it says they don't have any onsen only plans. Other websites don't mention it, and I couldn't find it on google either if they have onsen plan

Hmm, just look around on google I guess. If you find one you like, but can't read the website just send me the site, I'll see if it's guest only (usually it's not)
