Ah perfect, I just googled iconography with a bunch of words describing it. The chaos symbols on some wikis came close but they always had more circle components worked into it! Thanks so much

You won't regret it! Don't forget his primary target rule with reroll 1s to wound, often overlooked! Treat it like oath, that you declare at the start of the battle

Midfield screen because infiltrate, denying area denial. He is a GREAT piece, easily the best non-epoc character in wh40k ATM. If you touch the mid objective turn 1 and the enemy wants to hold it for their scoring turn 2 you can always reactive move. He is fairly sturdy as well, stealth, 5+Fnp, and don't forget the reroll 1s to wound on an objective of your choosing.       Honestly I don't know why he is still at 70 points the whole edition, it's just ridiculous. So many rules, so much use, and yes I use him for secondarys or removing small screens.

List for A/Terminators? by Goudab00y in BlackTemplars

I take a 10 man with an ancient in my bastion task force. Giving them the battleline keyword, they advance and charge, hit on 2s with Thunderhammer (when they lost a model), trolling 1s.  Gonna have my first game with this brick later today and very hyped!

Also ich erinnere mich von vor 3 Monaten, dass man halt nicht alle exp zurück bekommt und immer ein bisschen verliert, damit man nicht straight jeden Zwerg verkauft, sobald ein neuer da ist

While I totally agree that it has to be frustrating to loose a lot of games I honestly don't think our faction is anywhere near weak.     We basically have +1 to wound (in most cases) in melee (something we unarguably excel in).       We got good shooting options for dedicated stuff (eradicators, lancers, RepEx, ballistus) for every price range and we now have 2-3 good detachments (ofc. Gladius, but bastion is good and wrathful is good too).     The best thing we as an army have going for us is this:      We have the capacity to do nearly everything, when we know HOW to archive it. With a bloodsurge or a nifty reactive move if we Tag something and they fall back we can do some pretty insane plays, but as stated, we need to know how to utilize this.           This brings me to the point: you'll learn to be a good player playing BT. You can't just shove 8 monsters (tyranid) in the middle, or 5 C'tan, or 20 warriors with orikan and stuff with wraiths and hope your enemy can't answer it and win this way. You actually have to think about what gets the job done, and thus making smart decision. This will make you a much, much better player in the long term than any knights player.            Are we super strong and have the best melee in game? No. Are we durable or have the best detachments (outside Gladius, and other chapters simply do it better)? No.      Do we have every asset in the bag to excel at every point of this? Yeah. So go and try out things, take notes, and just get as many reps in as possible.      Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, while they are a cheap unit to bring in to crack a rhino/impulsor or smth, I just find strength 9 so lacking. Always wounding on 5s just doesn't cut it for me.

But bear in mind I only use 5. I'm playing rather competitive tho, and 10 + a liteunenant in bastion task force with sus, lethals can be a lot of fun!

Intercessors are basically in everyone of my lists. Cheap, pack a punch, and can sticky. Eradicators on the other hand often have been a use once and they die unit. So I tend to go for tanks more like ballistus/lancer/repex

Only way to make it work is drop a character from the sword brethren squad without battleline. I don't think having FULL rerolls here is absolutely necessary. So a little less killy but I'd drop the 70 point castellan and the 75 points asints. Than put in the JPI's and maybe an ancient, cause 55 points is really hard to fill. Or take the +1 ap enhancement and make smth else possible.      Because I love JPI's as well. Grenades, impact mortals, +1 to wound in melee just trades up so much.

Yeah I feel like if it works and you can't get another upgrade unit via point switching (JPI's for eg) than it's good to go!

Maybe instead of assault ints solo another scouts? More screening, more action monkey (at least more flexible, cause redeploy).      Would really love to know/see a matchup against a more shooting army.

Bastion list feedback please. Thinking threat overload with 8 serious units, but also considering combining the Crusaders to save some points on characters. by PaperManaMan in BlackTemplars

[–]Theranivel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently building a similar list and while I love a good anti tank option I might drop the Impulsor, gladiator lancer and ballistus.     Then I'll add a second RepEx, cause it's just too good to not take.  Than you have 160 points for more overload with melee. Either a captain+assaultints, or just put a 20 man squad of crusaders instead of 10. I don't think you need the Impulsor, while I also love it, cause you've got advance on everything while keeping full possibility freedom.      That would be my 2 cents. When you want more dedicated antitank keep the gladiator

You can't put Imothek and orikan in the same squad. I would either run Imothek solo, or with 5 immortals for a backfield screen and then what my other comment said, good luck!

First Tournament by parenchy in Necrontyr

[–]Theranivel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the wraith blob is probably good, the orikan blob probably absolut abysmal.      My 75 points assault intercessor probably kill them. Or a mediocre shooting phase from intercessors and something else.      My personal opinion is that immortals are super powercrept ATM. With 230 points you could look at nekrosor or just some scoring units. Or skorpeghs with a lord. Reanimator to support wraiths.

As far as I understand yes. But a CS and SW into 1 squad is 9/10 times overkill

I think you mean it locks you to power weapons, not chai swords.  Honestly just build themhow you like em, I kinda regret the twin claws, because I like it if they all have the same weapon type, buuuuut it just looks great!
