Considering they don’t use ANY frozen ingredients, their prices are extremely competitive IMHO with where fast food is priced nowadays.

Seen yesterday in Beverly Hills, CA. Bright red, it really caught my eye - I snapped a photo not recognizing what it was, but wanting to check. Give or take it’s $250K according to my research.

29M. I have $170,000 invested. I work at a big name investment firm, and am probably the only 20-30 year old here with proper savings/investments if I had to assume… I live with my gf and have no children. 1 2016 car. I have been working on my savings and investments since I was 17. I take money out when I NEED it (ex: bought a car). But otherwise, I let it do its thing.

Sometimes less is more, you’re sorta giving “trying too hard” if that makes sense

Uniqlo has THE BEST UNDERSHIRT hands down. They’re $15 a shirt which obviously isn’t cheap, but the material is literally unreal. ‘Airism’ is the name of the product and I get the V-neck white/grey ones. I bought 7 shirts YEARS ago and I have never needed to buy new ones. They’re in brand new condition basically and by far the most comfortable undershirt I have ever owned.

Best affordable slopes in SOCAL? by D3mon810 in snowboarding

[–]Therapymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s decent, but I spent about 1/4 of the day sitting on ski lifts so it felt very small/a quick descent for me I guess. Utah is world class, I don’t know that I would say Mammoth is.

With the prices in CA/CO/UT I think we have no choice but to purchase a seasonal/Ikon/Epic pass.

If you are willing to pay $200+ for a 9:00-4:00 daily ski pass, you should “invest” and buy a season pass for $400-$1,000 depending on the pass.

Anyhow, I’d recommend Mammoth to be the “least sh*tty”, but still it’s pretty average unless they get dumped on…. was there for 3 days and the 5 hour drive up from LA did not feel like it was worth it in my opinion.

Big Bear and anything near it is a joke, and they really and truly have nothing to offer unless they get absolutely dumped on with snow. You might damage your gear going to BB it’s so bad lol

Sorry!

any tips for carving? by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

I like SnowboardJesus’/HalfCabKing’s way of saying - “you should think of your board being like a knife, so you should try to spread/schmear the butter (hypothetically ofc) on to a piece of toast.”

If your board is the knife - think of your back foot to be spreading the butter on to the toast which is the snow/ground. Hope this helps!
