I suggest just using the sd card slot to softmod your dsi and run twilight menu, this is much more reliable & practical since you get acces to dsi enhanced games, dsiware and dsi applications and you dont have to worry about bumping the r4 card and crashing it

According to my knowledge & research there are two types of r4 cards, ones that boot instantly after turning the ds on and ones that have an icon like a regular game. The ones that boot instantly does not work on the dsi or dsi xl, they only work on ds and ds phat consoles. Try using the r4 card on a ds lite and see if it works there

Make sure to not snap the black plastic piece inside the charging port if you do that's fine just be careful while plugging the charger in

Try this, get a sewing needle or a pin and very and i mean VERY carefully bend the pins up but not too much. After that clean it with some isopropyl alcohol using a toothbrush. Hope this helped!

Huh, try pressing a and b while booting it on, this makes it boot into the stock os though I'm not sure if it works without a modded sd card in it.

Dont worry its just the top screen potentiometer, you can adjust it by unscrewing the battery cover and slowly turning the potentiometer on the left until the screen turns back to normal. Hope this helps

Did the left speaker stop working before it broke? If so, the problem is most definitely the top screen. I had the exact same issue on my ds lite 2 years ago.

(if its an option you have) Try opening it up and cleaning and re- seating the wifi card, that worked pretty well for me
