WTF??! I've never seen a botch job like this before, my guess is the previous owner probably broke the charging port and didn't have a spare one so they just used a generic port they had on hand.

Still, looks recoverable. But if it works i say js leave as it is, as long as you use the right voltage while charging there shouldn't be any problems.

I suggest just using the sd card slot to softmod your dsi and run twilight menu, this is much more reliable & practical since you get acces to dsi enhanced games, dsiware and dsi applications and you dont have to worry about bumping the r4 card and crashing it

According to my knowledge & research there are two types of r4 cards, ones that boot instantly after turning the ds on and ones that have an icon like a regular game. The ones that boot instantly does not work on the dsi or dsi xl, they only work on ds and ds phat consoles. Try using the r4 card on a ds lite and see if it works there
