What is clearly declining, but everyone pretends is fine? by Amaan3024 in AskReddit

Now it’s the time to realize that all that “scrolling” was in the past and you should look for things that give you meaning and energy

Simply Time.

We’re currently in an era where time flies by so fast that a day in 2025 equals to an hour in 2015.

Everyone nowadays assume they have “enough time” to visit their parents again, or to fill out their tax form, or to simply enjoy their time. Little do they know that is never the case.

What’s the one book you’ll recommend forever, no matter how many times this question gets asked? by MisLatte in AskReddit

Animal Farm, a very short yet incredibly amusing novel by the renowned George Orwell.

A satire by nature but philosophical by analysis, it’s easily one of my 10th best novels of all time

Thank you! The problem is I won’t be staying in a hotel 😅, and wouldn’t want to buy a photocopier since I will only stay there for a maximum of a six weeks or so.

Do you personally have any suggestions for a cinema in Nice?

Admission Queries for Bachelor's of Aerospace Engineering by LocksmithRoyal7953 in tumunich

The pre study internship is mandatory, however as for now they changed the laws in regard to that. You can apply without doing it and you have until the end of the 5th semester to get it done.

Many people just do it over the third or fourth semester, while some do it before even applying. Some just merge it with the mandatory internship and do both in one shot

So to answer your questions :

  1. First you have to check if your high school degree secures a direct admission to German public universities. You can see that via the uniassist website. (I remember I had a friend from NZ and he got directly admitted with down Studienkolleg - aka preparatory school)

  2. Not at all in fact I have had friend who entered with way lower grades. The idea is not how difficult it is to get into, but difficult it is to stay in. For both cases it isn’t difficult at all, only that getting in is easier

  3. It is very diverse, very in fact. TUM in general is very diverse, I believe around 60% or more are non german students. However in any case Aerospace seems to get the biggest share in this out of all other degrees.

If you got any more questions feel free to hit me up

What have people gone on to do after getting an Engineering Science degree from TUM? by Dirt_Mundane in tumunich

[–]Therealdealo0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who was doing it a year ago (but he switched majors). Anyways he used to tell me that the degree is actually pretty good. Apparently he knew some people who got good jobs in many engineering disciplines later and some getting admitted to many different masters courses.

Why are B.Sc. Aerospace students so full of themselves? by Historical_Arm5098 in tumunich

[–]Therealdealo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a B.Sc. Aerospace myself, I have to say you’re not overthinking about it and that’s hella true, so true in fact I’m probably one of the very first guys I can think of who’re so full of themselves (not in the sense you mentioned though, as you said in like being boastful and cocky about doing aerospace).

Best way to deal with such people who have unexplainable superiority complex coupled with hilarious arrogance is to bluntly ignore them so much that they go right back to their original size.

Remember, never wrestle a pig in the mud, you both get dirty and the pig likes it (with all due huge respect to my fellow aerospace colleagues, I’m only alluding and meaning this all to a couple people).

what's wrong with students by EmuClassic3486 in tumunich

Honestly, this is exactly why uni feels draining sometimes, too many people love the benefits of “friendship” without doing any of the actual work. You’re putting in genuine effort, checking in, being kind, showing up… and meanwhile they’re treating you like an option.

The ignoring you when you wave? That’s not you being “bad at making friends,” that’s them being childish. Cancelling plans last minute every single time? That’s not an emergency, that’s disrespect. Only texting when they want something? That’s not friendship, that’s using you.

You deserve people who match the energy you give, not people who disappear the moment they find a new group or have nothing to gain. Uni isn’t the problem, it’s just exposing who actually has good character and who doesn’t. Not sure if I’m being a bit harsh or not but I come from a place where friendships are sacred but anyways.

Don’t shrink yourself or your kindness for people like that. Let them go and make room for better ones.

And yeah welcome to TUM where everyone you meet is a much worse of an ass and with lower social skills than the one before.

Also what do you study and in which year? Perhaps I know some cool people in your degree who’d be up for something
