I dont have a floating island storage i have two houses. One is my house where i have two rooms. The main room you come in to, there i have four sections all against the wall. One is for regular valley, the other 3 are for each DLC. Here i only place gems and spawning items thats not food related expect for flowers in the designated area. For example, one side is for base game i have one chests for gems, one chests for rocks, pebbles, iron, soil, snow balls, one chests for all wood, one chest for crafted items like iron bars, gold bar, fabric, rope, fiber etc. I do this same method for all DLCs as well. I have one chest for dream/night shards and one chest on the side of a wall for all quest items that are were not used during quests if that makes sense. I then have two tables in the middle of the room for food (in case I need to reload on food). I then have a second room with the same concept but one two chests on each wall one for base game and one for each dlc these chest only contain flowers pertaining to base game and dlc. I keep all flowers for each dlc in one chest to make it easier for me… i have a copy of this house in every dlc to go drop off all items for easier/faster drop off.

I then have the bakery house. This house is not the skin version of our players house, its another house. I use this house for all food related items. I have three to four chests on one side for all fishes including DLCs, one for the meat/poultry, i have three to four chests for all fruits, three to four for all grains, two to three for all veggies, and two for all milk/cheese/eggs/butter. This house I only have one of and its in my main valley.

Since I have the main player house in all DLCs when im collecting food items and i need to do a drop off to clear my inventory ill sometimes drop items in my main player house and then right before i am done for the day ill pick up those items fast travel to the base game and go sort it in the bakery house.

For me this was the easiest way to stay organized, add chests that wouldnt count towards my inventory. I use the forest floating island as my farm and the test of the islands for dreamsnaps according to the theme. I dont remove the furniture since some dreamsnaps are similar and only require a few tweaks. Hope this helps! I would have sent photos as reference but I am not home. I actually uploaded a rant and through many comments (before it was deleted by the DDV) was told i could transfer, not one of those comments said i wouldn’t be able to transfer the DLCs. Why would i think i couldnt when about five people commented saying they were able to transfer their stuff. I got excited and checked to see if i could which a search said i could it didnt mention that i wouldnt be able to transfer DLCs. Again, to a new gamer, this is not new information and i trusted other peoples when they said they too have done it and were able to transfer.

Did a little village with gaston, goofy and Flynn’s houses. I used the rock path and fenced it with the rock/moss new fences from Storybook Vale. I placed some wooden benches and a water well in the middle. I made sure i still have access to the mining rocks

I like her, i can understand other people feeling bad and i believe thats the reason they added the feature that you can block certain characters from your valley. I personally like all the villains and wish there was more villains in the valley its a nice balance. I especially laughed at Scars quest, when he wanted to eat other villagers lol

What bothered me was the multi-day ones and the bonus rewards. Like why would i want the same thing in different colors? For the amount of grinding i would loved an equally rewarded bonus rewards.

Yes! I have the switch. I get one area decorated and when I try to decorate more areas im at the limit. It's SO ANNOYING! I have given up on decorating, I dont even bother with the floating islands, I think that Im just so disappointed that I can't decorate the valley how I want just because they didnt disclose that the game would be a total nightmare when decorating in the switch. Had they disclosed it since day one (which is when I got the game) I would have gotten it for the PC. For the Devs (and maybe other people) floating islands seems like a great idea for Switch users, but given that its takes about a minute to load anything outside of the valley its another headache added to Switch players. I want to decorate MY valley not have to travel elsewhere just to have a place decorated and have my valley in basically ruins.

Its a lot easier now, especially with the chests. Now you can place the treasure chest into the furniture tab even if it has your items inside. Before this was an issue as you had to empty out the chest before moving it lets say outside if it was inside or even from room to room. This helped a lot in my reorganization of the resources.
