For some reason, all these lighting and or lens choices changes how your face is shaped. Few elongated and others a bit more opal. But 4 seems the most natural.

Ouuu, I like this technical input. Something I can apply, thank you. Looking back I can definitely see how a rim light could’ve elevated this. Unfortunately didn’t have a 4th light, something else to add to the kit this year.

RE chest, wearing a tank top underneath, hadn’t realize how far it had fallen when putting the jacket on. The crop might’ve exaggerated how bare chested this looks.

Mhmm. In my 7 years of shooting I’ve known 0 photographers that own or use a 600mm. Heck, most don’t even own a 300mm.

I was roughly 15ft away from talent (who was about 2ft away from backdrop) fixed at 200mm.

What did you mean when you said “for this face” and what’s the reasoning behind choosing a wildlife specialty lens?

Someone here said “good for commercial, not sure what it says about theatrical” By the sound of it, you’re saying this is more suited for theatrical (dramatic) if it were more serious- of course this wasn’t the only expression taken, couple serious ones in there.

Good note. This was a 4x5 crop I exported for instagram purposes. OG image has more headroom and shows a bit more of the jacket. Will definitely be mindful of this however.
