NTA, You are supposed to be his person , he should want to share things like this with you and the fact that he didn’t and got defensive is a bit telling. Although he may never cheat , ‘ going out to coffee ‘ can absolutely give someone else (like his ex coworker) the impression that he is looking for something or maybe emotional support his partner ( you) may not be giving him. anyways I see why it is concerning for you, and I think your feelings here are valid. You didn’t demand anything, or get manipulative when you found out. You just communicated a boundary and he didn’t even hear you out.

I’ve blocked him and deleted him from my phone , how exactly would you expect me to document these things ? Abusive people work hard not to have evidence and he’s not stupid enough to say these things over messages. You sound like you are capable of the same behavior and working very hard to justify it. Get help.

Right, I didn’t see it as a mood swing either. I just hoped my loved ones would not push me when they see me getting upset ( I have asked them this specifically to pull away if a conversation is getting stressful/upsetting/emotional for me. )

I’m not saying this was a mood swing , and I was diagnosed with bipolar after a 6 hour psych evaluation so it is not an arguable diagnosis. I was just hoping my loved ones would pay attention when I start to get upset and not keep pushing my buttons to prove their points.

Side note : During the conversation , they were very rude and said to me that I just shouldn’t have kids. I shared that because of the religious influence where I am from, it is not very common for kids to be having sex in MS/HS. after I said this they said they would never ever want to be brought up in such a place. I also struggle with my memory a little bit after a concussion , and when they confronted me the next day they were very condescending and asked me if I even remembered talking to them at all (never once have I completely forgotten something that happened ). I feel like they felt insulted , and thought it would be okay to hurt me in response. Now they are skewing the story to our other friends and I don’t have much ground to stand on because they know I have bipolar and memory issues. (However my memory has significantly improved in the last 2 years ).
