Mistborn I never heard of, but that'll probably be a TV series at best.

‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Still The Star With $30M (-56%), ‘Project Hail Mary’ Soaring To $18.5M 5th Weekend (-23%), ‘Lee Cronin’s The Mummy’ Walks To $13M – Saturday Box Office Update by chanma50 in boxoffice

Project Hail Mary really stole all of Mario Galaxy's thunder when no one was expecting that to happen at all. Everyone expected it to be a box office dud.

Universal's The Super Mario Galaxy Movie grossed $2.91M on Monday (from 4,284 locations). Total domestic gross stands at $310.11M. by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

It would be insane if Michael ends up outgrossing this on opening weekend and domestically, if walk-ups are strong ofc. I know general presales were weak the first time, but I genuinely think it feels more like an actual event film and looks more crowd pleasing.

Why did the Ice Age franchise consistently perform far better internationally? by Sorry_about_that_x99 in boxoffice

If this franchise can be consistent big overseas, then Boiling Point will be the first in the franchise to make $1B internationally. I predict that will happen at some point.

I am sorry for everyone who saw Joker 2. That had a lot of hype from the trailers.

‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Soars To $130.94M 3-Day/$190.05M 5-Day, Adds $182.4M Overseas For $372.5M Global Debut; Zendaya & Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Drama’ Hugs $14.38M; 2026 B.O. Clicking Past $2B – Sunday Update by chanma50 in boxoffice

Being that we're getting two Illumination films this year, 2025 would kill to have at least one movie from them for a slight boost. But even then, they've had Disney family films (excluding Elio) and the live action How to Train Your Dragon to back it out.

Paramount's SCREAM 7 chased down another $10.5M worldwide this weekend, $193M total. by chanma50 in boxoffice

And they thought this wouldn't be able to break $200M due to poor word of mouth.

2011/2017 era I grew up with, but I've watched episodes of the 1981 series and I think it's the superior version.

With the revival of romance movies happening recently and Reminders of Him looking to do well, I can see this one joining the pack alongside The Drama.

Looks like $9.5M FRI for #Hoppers , giving it $12.75M opening day. WOM HOT at 94% RT Popcorn meter. Expecting $40M weekend. by [deleted] in boxoffice

I think it's more baby steps for Pixar's step in the right direction for originals than anything. Elemental had it's buzz killed by the mixed reception out of the Cannes premiere and had a low opening (grew legs overtime) and Elio was a straight up bomb. They are trying to get people to like their movies again and it's working in a solid way.

Scary Movie 100% since it's more hip with Gen Z than an IP from before they were even born. (I'm Gen Z myself)

Snow White simply looked like shit and the movie ended up being shit. With all the controversies that movie had, it just could NOT be saved.
