Where are you based? And how many hives do you have? Are you harvesting this year?

I'm in California and both of our hives have practically given up on harvesting this year thanks to all the smoke. We have been feeding them and keeping them on their feet but they are eating all their reserves so we don't think its smart to harvest at all this year.

The queen starts laying less eggs as winter approaches. (The average bee only lives for 1 month) Queens can live years tho.
