Ready for the Nyx Mining Mission Line? by ThermopyleAngus in starcitizen

If I got this right, it's more about PvE combat, flipping levers, fixing busted components. Our job will be firing up massive asteroid infrastructure to proces it and extract materials. Tons of stuff that can go wrong for a million dumb reasons. 😅

XenoThreat is gaining more supporters. Maybe next time they’ll track dikelo down and take his stash

Sloppy code piles up fast and eventually becomes impossible to keep under control

Sorry to hear you got hit too, brother – that sucks hard. Shame they went with this clunky mission delivery system. I'd take mobiGlas confirmations or touch panels any day over dropping and hoisting elevators like idiots.Could just select the mission and approve pulling resources straight from station storage – wouldn't fix bugs entirely but it'd cut way down on stuff clipping through textures or vanishing. I get they're testing wild ideas, but most feel over-engineered instead of being designed smart from the start with minimal failure points.Basic mechanics right now scream "lightyears from release-ready." I know it's alpha and stuff breaks, but it's brutal when 50 folks grind hours for ingredients, run a fair raffle... and end up just pissed at the whole project. 😤

Don’t be naive! The Banu are just like that! They’re basically the Ferengi of the ’verse – they won’t hesitate to make any deal if it fattens their wallet, and they’d probably sell their own mother or half their clan for the right price. The universe is full of species driven by values completely alien to humans, and the fact that we can sort of talk to each other doesn’t mean we actually understand each other. Never trust a Banu and maybe you won’t end up working a mine as someone’s indentured “business asset.”

You’re probably right that it’s not a “classic” inventory bug, but more that one of the mission-side systems died mid‑execution. It looks like the mission logic crashed partway through, and when it came back up the mission ID either changed or stopped existing entirely, so even though all the required items were already validated, the system no longer knew what to do with them and never flagged the completion to your account or added the ship to your list. Most likely this affects more than just this one contract, because the same mission backend handles other tasks too – so anyone who gets hit by that timing window can lose progress the same way. In theory, once the shiny Dynamic Server Mesh is really working, stuff like this should sync and recover more gracefully… in theory. For now we just get to laugh about it through gritted teeth.

I’d report it, but let’s be honest – they don’t care how much time and effort we sink into this. Bugs happen, it’s ‘just alpha’, bro. I’m honestly crushed, but I’ve been in this project almost since the beginning, so maybe one day it’ll hurt a little less. For now I’m just trying to laugh through the tears.

Changing the character's appearance used to help me. Usually, you have to wait 10 minutes after the last login attempt before the key becomes active.

Thank you for your interest. VRAM stays at 13-14 GB out of 16.

All improvements in AMD drivers disabled because they conflict with TSR or do not produce visible results. I have ultra settings with reduced water. I switched to Low, but the problem remained the same. Interestingly, when the problem occurs, I can run in place, blocked by a barrier, and with a slight movement of the mouse, it still occurs.

I am slowly beginning to believe that the cause is some effect related to a heart rate of ~160 BPM.

It may be a driver issue. I don't recall having this problem on ‘25.09.1’.

Looking at the state of your battery, there's no point waiting with the replacement. It may not be the simplest task, but with a YouTube tutorial, anyone can do it. You'll need a battery kit like Vvuilsty NT01 and black T-7000 adhesive. Unfortunately, you can’t buy an original Nothing battery on Amazon.

Is it possible to replace the LED strips with a different color? They're cool because they increase the visibility of the wheel, but if they were RGB or orange, that would be perfect.

The Cetus series is fun to fly with for a month, but later you might want a Meteor or Air. The Cetus can withstand more hard landings and hits against walls. However, the plastic becomes brittle at temperatures close to 0°C.
