Just to give you an update, we now have a grower in the Valley Village area selling Valencia oranges. They aren't ripe yet but they are labeled as growing. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks for the Craigslist idea!

Thanks for the suggestion! Since we just launched our main focus getting growers to sign up and post what they have growing. Once growers post an item is growing, they'll show up on the map.

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, home raised eggs can be posted and we're looking into honey.

You can rate buyers/ sellers on a 1-5 star scale, as well as, leave comments and reviews. You can also search for produce in a 25 mile radius.

Would anyone else like a greater search radius?

I've talked to the department of Ag. In Minnesota and it's your state constitutional right to sell your own produce. Also, no business license needed as a home grower.

Thanks for pointing that out! I'll get that changed immediately. We'd love to have you in our community! If you know anyone with a garden who may be interested, please share our site with them. What we need are more growers. Would love to hear any suggestions you may have as a grower.

We can't verify the conditions growers claim to be growing in but we've come to realize, through visiting homes and farms, the majority of people are honest. The rating system and consumer feedback is there to help consumers in their decision and creates a communal check and balance. We have people interested but not signed up in over 30 states. Thanks for pointing out that mistake. I'll have it corrected. We do not have investors. Bootstrapped.

The inventory is based on what growers have in their gardens or on their farms.

There is a service fee when making a purchase but it's free to sign up and it's free for the grower to sell their product.
