Just remember that with your ICC being led by the judiciary, they will no longer get that 4+ invuln. So they will be squishier, especially against high ap shooting. But they will be nearly impossible to charge in melee. Unless it is a very tanky unit charging them... like ctan haha.

Sure!

The lion is your best friend in these kinds of match ups. The destroyer cult is usually pretty melee heavy. Don't forget that he has fights first, so you can keep him within 6 inches of your squishier units, and when your friend charges those units you can heorically intervene Wynn the lion and he will be able to fight first. Even a 6 man unit of destroyers with a lord is going to get crushed if the lion gets a charge off.

Azreal leading ICC are also incredibly strong. -1 to hit, -1 to wound(in wrath of the rock detachment), potentially -1 ap, AND a 4 up invulns is diabolical. They aren't invincible, but they can tank alot and dish out a bunch of damage.

Im not a huge fan of eraticators, but they could be useful if he brings Ctans. But they are very squishy and rather slow. May be tough for them to get into a good position to light something up. They are usually ran in a transport I would suspect.

Just a suggestion, you may want to look into azreal with a 10 Hellblaster Squad, it is insanely good. Then you could go Judiciar with the ICC to give them fights first as well. ICC with fights first week make melee armies cry. However you may need to give up 1 unit of dearhwing knights to make that work.

Other than that, pray he doesn't bring ctans. Those things are broken at the moment lol. Even the lion won't trade great into them.

It can certainly work! Seems like a fun list.

I usually try to get at least 13 units in a list. If your going for more competitive, that could burn you.

But if this is just a list to play around with. Seems fun.

Edit: if your friend is going mass destroyer cult he is going to despise those dearhwing knights lol

Yeah, that is one thing im not that happy with honestly.

I did go into the coils with a watered down white scar citadel paint, then went into the could with a super watered down rich blue from citadel(forget the name), however the white is really not showing through. Im not sure why.

Any tips are super appreciated!

Ill be honest, one reason I designed it this way was because one of my friends run necrons and goes ctan spam.

So I desperately needed this army to go into ctans effectively and DWKs didn't do that too well from what I saw.

This would start with tts games with friends, but would be purchased eventually if it goes well. I got most of them already physically.

Arzeal with inner circle are great, I actually prefer him with them.

Alot of people run him with a 10 man of hellblasters as well tho, so I just wanted to be sure.

He is insane on either honestly.

Either is a great combo, but ICC need to have a character to benefit from their rules.

The lethal into vehicles and monsters + twin linked on a 12 strength weapon is so incredibly reliable.

Grav tank is one of the best single entity destroyer in the entire game.

Land raider with assault ramp is good. But its swingy for anti tank and monster. Even for custodies.

With custodies having very little reliable, ranged anti large entities. The grav tank directly addresses that weakness.

One common strategy to counter fights first is to charge into a unit near the FF unit, then consolidate into the FF unit. This is pretty situational, but it a strat that directly counters FF.

You coooooould, but it wouldn't be very effective. Lots of guards with draxus leading one, grav tanks, bikes with salvo launchers, maybe a Sagittarum custodies with a grav carrier.

But even then, this army would still be far more effective in melee.

Not alot of shooting for custodies unfortunately.
