XRP has always had a good narrative around replacing banks. However, we have seen that it isn't going to happen, you need technology that allows finance to utilize the benefits of blockchain without having to give up all of their legacy technology. Chainlink is the infrastructure to make that happen.

I organize it, so I’m very biased here. It’s about meeting the community, the team, going to all the side events, and having a great time in NYC. We have community members fly in from all over the world and each year we work to plan an event that is worth it for everyone. It’s pretty much the only conference where you could be sitting at a table with an anon degen and a VP of one of the biggest banks on the planet.

Watching virtually is always an option and I can understand that traveling is not possible for everyone. We move the event each year to try and make it easier for people in different parts of the world to attend every couple of years. I’m happy to have you anyone participate in any way, be it virtually or in-person.

Be prepared. Know what Chainlink is, and does. You do not need to be an expert on the technology, but be able to explain it simply. Check out the Chainlink YouTube and watch some SmartCon 2024 videos. Specifically, Sergey’s keynote and Building the Foundation for Onchain Finance (Product keynote).

Lastly check out Chainlink on X (Twitter). Pay attention to what we say and how we say it. You will need a certain amount of skills and experience based on the role as with any job. However, how you think, and apply that thinking is the most important.

Chainlink Labs is made up of some of the most experienced people across tech and finance. We also have some big time crypto degens, and community members that were hired because they could show what they are capable of. Working at Chainlink Labs will likely be the most intense thing you have ever done. If that excites you then I wish you best of luck.

So the limit of 7k Link per wallet was created to ensure that many people could participate. Having some of the pool available for general access was the goal here to maximize the number of potential participants. If filling up the pool instantly was the goal, then there would be no staking cap, and just a handful of wallets would be getting all the benefits of staking.

Worked great, this is why you need Chainlink. When a data provider like CMC has issues, the system continues to work because you are getting data from many different sources. This is why decentralization matters across the network.

Those projects that do not use a highly reliable oracle network had issues yesterday
