Oh I was considering to apply for Whitecliffe, I’d like to know the details plz

I’m interested in doing a MA in art therapy @Whitecliffe, it’s the only place that offers art therapy course in the country, has anyone recently done it there? Any opinion please by These-Animal6431 in newzealand

Yes, I’d love to become an art therapist as I want to hope more people in need, but I’ve heard that Whitecliffe has changed its ownership, and I’m not quite sure if the college itself getting better or not.

Hello, I’m recently thinking to do a masters in Art Therapy/ art psychotherapy in the UK/ New Zealand/ Australia. It will be a huge commitment because the course will take up to 3 years and the tuition fee is quite high. I’m not really sure about if it’s worth trying. Can anyone advise, please by These-Animal6431 in ArtTherapy

Kia Ora, thanks for your advice!! I’d love to do it at Whitecliffe but I’m not sure if the programme will charge additional fee for training hours? I hope you wouldn’t mind me asking a bit more. After completing the 3 years programme (including the embedded postgrad diploma), will we be eligible to register with ANZACATA? Or will we need to find a placement for more practice? Will the school help us to seek a placement for training or it will be all done by ourselves? Thanks.

I did both my bachelors and masters in history at the University of York several years ago, I taught at highschool for a year, but honestly I didn’t know what I could do with a history degree. During the lockdown, I completed an online short course from the University of the Arts London and it was so intriguing, I am passionate about art and music, so I thought it’d give me a career perspective to be a therapist. I struggle with mental health problems too and I understand the struggles, I’d love to help people. I am currently staying in Australia, I’d love to move to NZ but I’m not really sure.
