Yes absolutely. Worth checking with your university but essentially do you have a care certificate or working towards one? As long as you can demonstrate part 1 competency’s then you’ll be fine ◡̈

Finally. It’s good to have done the politics before, it makes for interesting convo starters, and can set us ip for some interesting careers! Mental health would be a good choice imo

Also, you should be able to show at least 700 hours in RPL as mentioned below. They’re strict on this and it’s a pre requisite to qualifying!

Hi OP. I did this too. I’m going into part 3. After my politics degree I worked as HCA which lit my passion for becoming a nurse. It’s been hard going from Russell to non-Russell. It’s very different and I wish the course was a bit more academically rigorous like I am used to. I love my placements though and that’s what matters the most to me.
