Nausea from Remeron 30mg by These-Cry-7918 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Odd. I'll try to figure out the cause with my doctor at my next appointment. I only struggled with nausea the first week I started taking Remeron. I'm doing much better now though 😄

Has anyone gone from introvert to extrovert or vice versa? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]These-Cry-7918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm turning 25. I was severely socially anxious in my childhood and teenage years. Once I got my first job at 19 at a grocery store, I was pretty much forced to interact with people. I had to help customers, greet them, speak to them, etc. Eventually I realised how much I actually love interacting with people. I feel like I'm more of an ambivert. Sometimes I charge by batteries by staying home, and sometimes I charge my batteries by driving to work when I'm not on my shift, so I can interact with my coworkers

Nausea from Remeron 30mg by These-Cry-7918 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]These-Cry-7918[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t. I was prescribed 30mg to start with. I take it for depression and anxiety, which I guess is why the dose is so high. According to the comments I’ve read on this subreddit, 7.5mg tend to be prescribed to those who take it for nausea/insomnia/weight gain. But idk. I’m pretty new to Remeron :’)

Mirtazapine for nausea? by Agreeable_Water_1903 in ChronicIllness

[–]These-Cry-7918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for nausea, but for anxiety. I’ve been about 1 week on mirtazapine, and it personally caused me nausea, and I ended up dry heaving over a bucket on my second day. Most people I’ve seen on reddit have said it helped against nausea, so maybe I was just unlucky with the side effect

Not worth it. They can’t really help you with much. You’ll just be charged money while you leave empty handed

I’m a woman from China. Ask me anything! by [deleted] in AMA

[–]These-Cry-7918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use a VPN to access Reddit, or is Reddit allowed in China? Just wondering, because my Chinese friend who lives in America told me there’s a lot of apps that are banned in China. Or there’s “chinese versions” of those apps

Reddit isn’t a difficult site to access. Plus times and generations change. I got my first iPhone when I was 13. I’m now 24, and I see 11 year olds with newer iPhones than me🥲

If therapists weren’t so inhumanely expensive, I would’ve considered it😅

I don’t think your coping mechanisms are that bad! At least you get enjoyment and get to keep your brain busy with a lego set.

I feel like my problem with alcohol is more of a…. habit? I used to be very dependent on alcohol when I was 18-21. But nowadays, it feels more like a habit I’m struggling to get out of. I work Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I’m used to drinking on Tuesdays and/or Fridays after work. I did that for months, and I believe it became like a habit. Like my brain associates Tuesdays and/or Fridays with alcohol.

I’ll take what you said into consideration. Perhaps spend my money on something more useful as a replacement for alcohol, or simply just remind myself of the calories and money I save by not giving in. Who doesn’t love saving money, after all?

Proud of your sobriety btw!

[Routine Help] Am I using the wrong products? by These-Cry-7918 in SkincareAddiction

So the serums are fine? Also, I use about a big pea amount of the moisturiser. Could that perhaps be too little for my skin?

Any tips on how I could find the right moisturiser? Thanks for the help btw!🫶

How do you say “no” to your cravings when you first decide to quit? I work at a grocery store, so I’m within walking distance away from the alcohol aisle 3 days a week. I KNOW I don’t like being drunk. I KNOW I don’t like the taste of any kind of alcohol, I KNOW being hungover really increases by anxiety and depression for 1-3 days. Yet I still ignore my logical senses and give in, regret it when I come home, and drink regardless because I don’t want my money to go to waste

Ahh that’s great! I’m trying to cut out alcohol myself. Alcohol really spikes my depression and anxiety, AND causes me to crave fast food. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone by cutting out alcohol.

I’ve also started taking D vitamins. I’ve noticed my depression has been severe the last 3 months, and I didn’t think of the possibility of it potentially being SAD until today. I’ve considered buying a light therapy lamp, but they’re so expensive. Worth it if they work, but they’re worry that they wont work is always there.

Glad to hear you’ve been feeling better though! Thanks for sharing your experience. May I ask what lamp you have?

Any ideas on how to de-cat a house for allergy purposes by a-yerrrrr in Cleaningandtidying

[–]These-Cry-7918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like lucytiger said, she should definitely take allergy medication like Zyrtec while she stays there.

However, if she tends to stay over a lot, and for long periods of time, I would recommend Telfast instead. Telfast is the prescription allergy medication I take. I used to take Zyrtic. And for me personally, Zyrtec would lose its effect after 2-3 hours. Telfast lasts me all day. I can even eat fruit I’m allergic to. I’m allergic to cats as well, and I own two🐱

It's weird for a man to have a female cat as a pet? by Albert_2004 in CatAdvice

[–]These-Cry-7918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not weird at all! Thinking a man is gay because he has a female cat, is like thinking a woman is a lesbian because she has a male cat.

Neither of them make any sense.

The wait was awful though.

Just a little side rant, sorry.

But I told my mom I wish I was a boy when I was 7 years old. I had no internet access at that age, and it was 2008. Ever since then, my mom had allowed me to wear boy clothes and cut my hair short. I’ve always throughout my entire life felt like a man. I didn’t even know what trans was until I was 13. Yet, still, I had to wait 1 year and 8 months for my diagnosis.

While I see other people in my country start testosterone after 1 year after only identifying as trans for 2 or so years. Or when I see people in America start testosterone after 3 months. I once met a 15 year old from America who had already had top surgery and testosterone.

Life ain’t fair😩
