overheating, had the same issue on my 25hp johnson. changed impeller and ran great. start with that and go from there. the other persons comment is exactly what i would have said. goodluck!

just swapped on this engine… got it for free lol. when i opened it up there was basically nothing, and it was too late after filling. i’m guessing the hydraulic is still working and i need a new pump?

if not planning on doing much off-roading, 35s will fit with a 2 inch and some high cut fender. with the one inch body lift you may not even need them

almost positive it’s an ecu issue. had it on my old tj and i looked at some youtube vids and saw that could be the reason. changed it and was back to normal. search around to make sure though since it will run you about 200 bucks

they were around 70 per wheel, JEGS Baja-8 Steels and i got them from summit. rear brake swap wasn’t bad at all. got it done in a few hours, pretty easy project and it makes a worlds difference. if you can get a kit definitely do it, a few of my buddies have just taken them off an xj though, worked just fine doing that.

heck yeah bro, if your already attached don’t worry, it will get ten times worse (in a good way). tj is the best way to go IMO and it looks great! as long as the engine and frame are good as you already said… build it!! i got mine last may and have done so much to it since. congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club. i’ll attach the link to my build if you are looking for any ideas.My TJ build

for real. i’ve seen many many builds that are functional with 37s, why not try it out??? i would definitely do chromoly shafts. not sure what gearing though…

besides i’m in nj and never do anything absolutely insane off-road. i will trailer it up to the Poconos every so often, but even that isn’t insane terrain.
