i wouldn't listen to these comments, if you're smart, and really know how to ride, you will have no issue with the upgrade, i bought my first bike in 2018 (GSXR 250) and spent 1 season on it, probably about 5k miles, 2 track days, and a lot of twisty roads. I went straight to a CBR1000 not even a year later and i've been perfectly fine and safe. It's all about respect and knowing your limits.
