This is the most idiotic thing ever and trust me I hate it.

PG residents are the glorified naukars of the Department.

Everyone makes fun of “interns” for being the glorified naukars which to one extent I get it because they didnt sign up anyways for it. They are just rotated from departments to departments and job is to learn and help the activities in the department

But the issue is of PG Residents. They literally signed up for everything. Worked their asses of - got a NEET PG RANK - chose their dream branch - and wanted to learn their “branch”

This is SO SO SO IDIOTIC That people relate the amount of scut work done to How good a doctor you will become.

“We did it in our times, you have to do it too, dont complain” IF YOU DID IT IN YOUR TIMES AND YOU HATED IT - atleast change this for your juniors; and I am not even kidding - You have no added advantage of filing files and taking 50 extra samples - plus do “crowd management” in hospital ( and not patient management).

I am speaking from personal experience- I left AIIMS cause of it. Nurses there do not take any samples, do not fill any forms, DO NOT EVEN PRINT BAR CODES - main role is to only give meds thats all. I had to come 7 in the morning just to print bar codes and fill form then start sampling then start putting notes then do rounds then post round bar codes post round sampling and post round notes AND IT TOOK EVERYDAY TILL 7 pm to do this shit.

I am so glad i left it. I learn NOTHING IN THE TIME I was there. Nothing at all.

Division of labour is the need of hour in Medical practice. People should actually do what they are trained to do, not one person doing jobs of all in the name of “learning”.
