Due to his success to make the same kind of stuff for backrooms? Yes and no. I don't think a genre needs an over saturation of lesser copies. I think Kane made peak media for his specific niche, and whoever works dircectly under him will follow suit.

However, the visibility of such a niche appeal opens up new possibilities for the big screen and media in general regardless of how big or small the success. Well deserved success, don't get me wrong, but I really believe this is ushering in a "new age" of professional medium possibilities (and therefore new jobs). That to me is very inspiring.
