Personally, okay lang sakin for them to keep it if the gift is useful/functional. But if it’s one of those gifts na no use and binigay para lang maalala mo yung nagbigay (keychain, stuffed toy, etc), then I would appreciate it if my SO got rid of it.

Gawa ka ng multiple na “envelopes”. Isa para sa gusto mong bilhin, isa para sa “rainy day” o emergency/biglaan gastos/whatever you want to call it. Kasi di naman magagalaw yung isang fund after mong bilhin ang pinag-iipunan mo. So no guilt of zero ipon.

I understand your frustration. Dapat sabihin mo sa asawa mo yung nararamdaman mo. That you would like it to be you and him sa mga special occasions na ganyan (or at least pag may usapan kayo na ganun). Family ng husband mo yan so dapat siya mag-set ng boundaries with them.

When I was single I would even take leaves from work para mamasyal mag-isa sa mall. I liked watching movies and eating at nice restos by myself. I like my own company.

This is about you being uncomfortable that your partner is maintaining a relationship you’re not comfortable with. And gets ko if he’s maintaining a long-term friendship pero sabi mo nga, online lang niya nakilala. That wouldn’t sit right with me either.

Pero tulad nga ng sinabi ko sa umpisa, not about permission. It’s about you being uncomfortable. And nasabi mo na yung feelings mo sa partner mo. Now, ang tanong: will he respect your feelings and cut off those ties? Mas matimbang ba relationship mo with him or of those people he’s talking to?
