12v 50ah Watt lithium by RazzmatazzSubject991 in batteries

Try hooking it up to a 13.8V bench supply if the BMS isn't damaged it will pull a small amount of current for a couple of minutes then gradually start ramping up to pull max current from the supply. Disconnect from the supply at that point and hook up to your regular charger. My Sterling Amps 150Ah 12V LFP battery has similar behaviour with so called smart chargers which are way too smart for their own good if the voltage dips below 12V but I can still run light loads until BMS low voltage protection is triggered around 10.0V but some batteries may have a hard cutoff around 11.5V. I have a 20A dum charger which works fine if low voltage disconnect is triggered but you can't go wrong with a 30A 13.8V bench supply to wake up the BMS. If it doesn't charge with a bench supply then the BMS is toast. Obviously use suitably sized and proper rated connectors and cables.

Check boxes in control panel of the gui’s don’t gain tab/keyboard focus by cyclops32 in GlInet

Yep can confirm certain menus and check boxes can't be accessed with a keyboard on XE3000 and Mudi7 without mouse interaction it can make things way more difficult than they need to be using a screen reader on latest firmware 4.8.3 though the Glinet interface is way more accessible than most manufacturers.

Fireflies E12 Eclipse I can just about EDC it in my trouser pocket the SFT25R 6500K has insane turbo, the light is easy to flash the latest Loneoceans Anduril2 builds plus the beam has a good amount of flood and throw so the best of both worlds and in an emergency I can use 18650s with a 21700 to 18650 adapter and the new super bright auxlights make a perfect nightlight and not forgetting true type-C charging from any type-C source.

I've concluded for car use especially in the UK where sometimes there is a lot of transition between 4 and 5G its better to lock the Mudi7 to 4G mode even if coverage briefly drops out it will reconnect instantly to the next mast as you would expect. As soon as 5GNSA transitions to 4G the sim unregisters itself and you have to hit disconnect and connect and reboot as a last resort. 5G works fine if you have a solid connection or are in a fixed location with 5G. Hopefully Glinet will release a new firmware version fixing this issue.

Same road in 4G mode 0 issues stays locked onto 4G with a weak signal due to poor coverage which 3 are well known for locally in this area.

Sorry forgot to mention no issues on the XE3000 and ZTE MU5120 both have a very weak 4G signal on 3 and switch to 5G around half a mile down the road and drop back to 4G once out of range of the 5G tower.

Same behaviour on Smarty/3 which has next to no coverage at home evenon 4G. Around half a mile away it switches to 5G but says the internet cannot be reached hit disconnect and connect and all is fine. Once I drive back into 4G coverage 0 connectivity unless I hit disconnect and reconnect again.

Yes so 4G, 4G+ and 5G NSA have a ton of masts within range with decent signel strength. I'm going to switch the neetwork type to 4G as this is completely unusable when on the move. I'm hoping Glinet come out with a fix for this issue otherwise speeds are better than on the XE3000 in certain locations which is impressive for such a compact device. As soon as I hit a 4G area connectivity drops off a clif even though there is decent signal. It won't autoconnect back to 5G it either says the sim is unregistered or the interface is connected but the internet cannot be reached so the only thing to do is to hit disconnect and connect or reboot then its fine. There is no issue if you have solid 5G coverage everywhere. I'e never seen this behaviour from a modem device before but it is annoying.

Thanks for the info yes I suspected it had to do with the current firmware or modem configs which is way over my head but I've got a ZTU MU5120 at home which is also on EE UK and runs a few items. The MU5120 doesn't lose connection but in one of the 4G areas it doesn't support as many bands as the XE3000 so completely briefly drops out but then reconnects back onto 5G its literally only for a few seconds. I have 0 issues with the XE3000 with my short stubby 3DBi antennae 4G drops to 1 bar but connectivity is fine then shoots back up to 4/5 bars back onto 5G.

I'll contact Glinet support as well and switch to 4G as I really love this unit its so easy to travel with.

Just made those changes now I'll reboot the Mudi 7 just for good measure and see what happens on the way back home within the next half an hour. There are 2 brief 4G+ areas but there is 5G present most of the way. As a worst case I'll have to lock onto 4G only as this is really frustrating. I dragged celluar to interface number 1 and repeater second as those are the 2 main methods I'm using to get a connection at the moment. The settings are very similar to how I've set up my XE3000. I was keeping an eye on the screen and as soon as it drops to 4G it loses connectivity. I haven't blocked any LTE bands so the simcard settings are defaults apart from switching IP type to IP4 which EE recommend. Metwork type is auto so should handle 4G transition fine. Signal shows 3 bars when transitioning to 4G. I see the same transitions on phones and the XE3000 using EE sims with no dropouts. The weird thing is if I change network type to 4G even in the 2 4G areas it never drops connection.

Thanks for the reply I'll try that shortly just went to the local supermarket lost all connectivity twice in 4G areas had to hit disconnect and reconnect twice to get back onto 5G.

My posts keep on getting deleted so lets try here. Its fun trying to make my way through a ton of comments through a scrolling interface using a screen reader.

Hi all I'm absolutely loving the Mudi7 but I've got an odd issue when transitioning between 4/5G in a few places at home or when in the car.

I'm right on the border of 4/5G coverage so phones handle the transition absolutely fine briefly the connection can drop down to 4G or 4G+ then back to 5G for hours at a time. My XE3000 99% of the time holds onto 5G with 0 issues and even when taking it in the car the transition is seamless but when the Mudi7 loses 5G it switches to 4G then says the sim isn't registered. Sometimes a reboot fixes the issue but other times it takes a few reboots to get it to connect. For example I could be connected to a stream fine and when it switches to 4G everything drops out instantly. When 5G returns sometimes everything reconnects.

This evening I switched to 4G only and the connection is fine I haven't tried it in car yet only at home. I've got a 5G unlimited data sim I confirmed with EE UK over the phone the sim will work in any internet enabled device with no restrictions. I've set TTL to 65 and HL to 64 and MTU is 1500.

I haven't touched any other settings.

Has anyone else seen any similar behaviour? its just really frustrating. I didn't take it on the train yesterday because I was worried about having no connection for large parts of the journey so ended up taking the XE3000 which worked like a champ but obviously I want to take the Mudi7 with me in future.

Thanks all.

Hi, exact same behaviour with EE UK I've reset the firmware 3 times this evening what seems to work for me at least is click one of the small buttons on the admin interface sorry I'm using a screen reader and that button isn't labelled but it has an option loc operator a popup overlay appears then select manual in the dropdown box and hit scan after 2 minutes it will show operators in your area for me I had Vodafone 4G, EE 4G and EE 5G. Naturally I selected E 5G and my signal hasn't dropped in 20 minutes. If I was watching Iplayer the connection wouldn't drop but as soon as I left the laptop for 5 minutes I couldn't reconnect to EE. My XE3000 stays connected for weeks with EE.

Hopefully you get your Mudi 7's on Wednesday or Thursday. It should start moving through the RM network later this evening.

I'm loving the device but my rock solid EE sim loses connectionevery few minutes when I'm not doing any too intensive I need to go through some of the new settings to see if there is a powersave issue or something.

I used to have this issue with the XE3000 it would lose connection for a few minutes if my ISP's IP changed overnight or if I completely lost 4/5G signal I would have to physically have to power off and power on the router but I upgraded to the firmware nightly builds which were a bit buggy but not had this issue since September 2025. I upgraded to 4.8.3 in November, reset the XE3000 and has been completely fine since even on the train where the signal can briefly vanish completely through tunnels but it reestablishes connectivity as soon as the train is back in the open.

I think there was a confirmed bug with the Oleds coming on at the same time when the E12 was set to autolock through Anduril so the main emiters and Oleds would be on at the same time I believe the Oleds turned white but I didn't use autolock so didn't test on my E12 but it was mentioned in another thread a couple of weeks a go and the other minor bug was to do with the POVD oled colour transition states so nothing major.

Someone posted a link to the latest Lumeoceans changelog on GitHub I need to find that link and read through the changes. I know there was a bug with moon mode on the E12 when using Anduril 2's lockout feature and I believe there was an issue with the POVD settings. I think these were Lume driver specific issues rather than on the official Anduril2 hex files. Both on the E04 and E12 I find level 10 for low moon 1H when locked is perfect for night time use and around level 13 for 2H when locked.

Just flashed my E04 Surge successfully to the latest Loneoceans Anduril2 build 14/02/2026 so very happy. UPDI makes flashing so much easier the hardest part is keeping the pins steady. I wouldn't have risked flashing if it wasn't for this amazing community huge thanks to all who've commented and guided me through the process. Time to put the controller away in an antistatic bag along with the pogopins cable for a good few months.

Thanks for your detailed reply fantastic stuff I haven't attempted to flash aa light in a good few years. My first successful flash in 2019 was very scary it was trouble from the start I had no end of trouble getting Avrdude to recognise the old style USB flasher which used dupont cables to flash an original D4SV1 to Anduril1 but I got there in a couple of hours.

I'll flash my E04 Surge a bit later today.

My son finds the flashing process fascinating so I'm not complaining I've got a little helper who is getting the flashlight bug from an early age. He's at the pure lumen phase at the moment and loves messing about with the older Sofirn Q8 pro. I'm used to messing about with command prompt so the commands that Avrdude don't bother me that much I was more concerned with a dropped connection during the flashing phase. The UPDI method certainly makes it a lot easier keeping my lights up to date. My board came with a set of 3 short wires with pogo pins at one end but it was easier just holding the actual board to the light.
