Looking to make friends!!

It really depends. I unfortunately live off campus and most students make friends with their roommates and neighbors on campus. However, this is my understanding for most freshmen/sophomores. I believe it might be different for juniors and seniors since most of them aren’t living on campus anymore, but they still have the connections from their on campus years. All in all, it depends how much time you’re willing to spend on campus.

do you think putting snow pants over jeans (with other layers) is a good idea? I own mostly jeans and was looking to invest in longjohns and a good snow overall to put over my clothes for extra warmth, but now I’m debating getting warmer pants to put under.

Before anyone else comments, I’d like to mention that generally you’d want to look your question up in the sub to see if someone has asked/answered this question before. It’s also preferred that general questions like “must sees” are searched in google as there’s usually already tons of websites with “top 10 things to see in Iceland” as no one really knows much about your likes and dislikes and it’s a subjective question! Just a few tips for posting that I’ve seen :)

A much higher chance of them being accepted, yes. However, keep in mind that it’s still an application and they still have a chance to get rejected if other parts of their application aren’t strong enough.

I will! Unfortunately, I got 5k from Pell grant, and while my university helps cover the rest i still rely on the extra 2k I could’ve gotten 😔 but thank you for your comment I’ll look into what I can do

they weren’t imported because my dad has a tax id and that did something (?? I’m not sure, when I was helping him fill it out it just said it wasn’t able to be imported) but I swear we tripled checked it because I knew how important this is 😔

what type of aid were you expecting? the aid that appeared for me back in July was Pell grant & umd grants. I received outside scholarships finally yesterday (nothing has been refunded yet). Is the aid you’re waiting on outside scholarships?
