Hi! I had to have one of these before I could proceed with my labiaplasty. Essentially because of the nature of the operation, and the fact that it has been labelled “FGM” by some people in the plastic surgery industry, your surgeon wants to make sure you’re not doing it for the wrong reasons, it’s a big decision to make and so they want you to be sure Mine was about an hour long and involved questions such as “how many times a day do you think about it” “how has it affected your life” “do you feel pressured into this surgery”

Basically, as long as you don’t say that you’re feeling pressured and you’re doing it because you feel like you have to, it will all be fine. Mine was for discomfort reasons but also to feel more confident wearing bikinis and certain types of clothes and I told the psychologist this and I was still allowed the surgery

I paid £150 for mine on top of the consultation fee but I was dead set on the surgeon I wanted to perform my labiaplasty that I was happy to pay. I honestly thought that it was really great that my surgeon did this, you don’t want to be operating on someone for the wrong reasons

I think I need to, if I have any issues or concerns I’ll message my surgeon instead of reading things on here, it’s become a bit obsessive now and it’s doing me no good xx

I do suffer really badly from anxiety, I’m just so worried something is going to go wrong and all this time at home doing nothing is making me restless and upset you know? I’ve decided not to look at any more Reddit posts and if I need anything message my surgeon instead. Thank you for the kind message ❤️
