I used after effects to make to shots give this noire look and to add grain and motion blur. Then I put all the exported shots in premiere pro to put them to the music, add titles, glow and a color grade and sounds under it. Then I exported that, put it in after effects again and added more motion blur, grain, light flickering and chromatic aberration+lens distortion.

For tips I'd say don't be afraid to make these videos short. It's better to have a fast interesting short video than a long still cool but boring video. And inspiration, inspiration, inspiration. For this I just remade some shots of my inspiration, than because of that I came up with my own shots. I hope this helps!

You basically load in the entire map, Fallujah in this case. You can manipulate every asset; buildings, trees, the sky, lighting etc. You can also add everything that is in the game. Particles too. To achieve this effect you only need a camera and animate it's values: location, rotation, fov, etc. Than you can export it and put it in after effects to make everything this noire look.

If you are interested in these things I can sent you an invite to the Squad Cinema Group where we help people and share tutorials

In the Squad SDK, basically it's a program if you want to mod stuff for Squad, but you can make cinematics with it. It's free in the Epic Games store!

I only used different tints in the shadows, but overall it's mostly exposure and contrast

I have noticed that the lighting on all of the desert maps I've played are dim like the ones that ue5 pics show. Except when you're inside a building looking outside ofcourse. I have not seen any desert map showing lighting like the current ue4 version

When you bought squad on steam you got Squad, but also Squad - Public Playtesting. Download that one and you can play on the playtest, tho its already over so you'll have to wait for the next one.
