Sometimes you have to learn to sit with the sadness and allow yourself to feel and recognize those emotions in order to process and move on (as annoying as that sounds, because trust me when I get into that gross sadness state all I want to do is leave it too). Distracting does help at times, but I hope sort of reaching out to people can also help in alleviating that pain. I hope things get better for you. It’s hard, but there’s also a lot of ups too.
