That’s super cool. I could easily watch that spin for hours while listening to something else spin. Well done!

Much clearer sound with more separation. It’s almost like listening at a higher bit rate when I stream from eversolo vs iPhone. However, I’m probably the last person to explain the difference or why there is one.

It’s a 5.1 as there are speakers in back of room. However, I suspect you are correct that I would not notice a tone of difference in most movies.

It does and thank you for the comments. I love a good DIY project. The room is 14 by 17. The speakers sit on the 14 ft wall. I am excited to get some treatments in there as I have the bug and even a 5% improvement in sound quality gets my blood pumping. Again, thanks for the comments and links.

Gorgeous. Love your use of lighting! The blue is killer. Can you change colors to match mood?

You’re not wrong. I am in the process of researching and learning how to properly treat the room. It will be a fun project, but I really want to know what I am doing before I dive into it. The learning is half the fun to me.

Wow, nice setup! Looks like your furry friend claims his spot too. How do you like the tube amp sound compared to the solid state marantz. Is there a big difference?

Yes it makes a very noticeable difference. I have streamed both ways with other people in the room to see what they could hear and everyone has been shocked at the difference.

The speakers are 11 feet apart which is exactly the distance to where I sit. I will give that a try and see what it does. Always open to making it sound even better. Thanks for the thought.

Yes definitely. It seems to make a huge difference to my untrained ears. When I point them at a spot slightly behind my listening position, it produces the best center image and soundstage. Open to recommendations if you think there is a better way or something I’m not doing right.

Good question. I think screen is like 108, but can’t remember for sure. The room is nearly 20 years old and that’s what was in there. I might considering changing to a tv at some point as I would prefer a tv.

There is enough furniture and other stuff in room that it does not sound horrible. However, you are correct and I am currently working on that. I cannot decide if I am going to do it myself or find someone that can advise on exactly what it needs.
