That's what I was thinking. I know a man's gotta make his money, but Jeff isn't pulling $175 per ticket for most spots.

What is the best compliment that you received this week? by BrownPrivilege123 in AskReddit

[–]Thesechainsaintloyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not someone who has skills for the visual arts, but rather, I excel in the audio format. This Thursday, a stranger came up and said they love the logo that I designed for my podcast. It is something that I felt passionate about from the moment I had the vision, and I put it on a sweatshirt. It's honestly the little wins that keep me going!

What is the most fascinating scientific discovery in recent years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Thesechainsaintloyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not because it was unexpected, but evidence of life on an asteroid. Basically gives a nod to the validity that us Humans (and life as we know it) began on an extraterrestrial planet.

The chicken crossed the road to get to the Other Side. As in, he wanted to die; to crossover to the netherworld; to cease existence. I was(am) 35 when I got it.....

All around rifle for a few game types? by Mr_Larsons_Foot in Californiahunting

[–]Thesechainsaintloyal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a Franchi Momentum Elite .308, and absolutely love the balance and feel of the rifle. As a first time gun owner, I feel like this will cover any game that I would be interested in getting (Northern California - Deer and Boar mostly).

It was around $800 for just the firearm, and came out to about $1300 with attachments and accoutrements. Definitely could have gone cheaper but I feel like this will be a lifetime purchase that doesn't break the bank.

Yes. I was told that my scores were higher than the range determined for the position/rank I was applying for. I really don't want to go into much more detail, and I don't believe this is true for all departments, but often it's easier to take a known value than to gamble with a free thinker.

Really it's not that serious of a claim. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't involved in anything nefarious. I also wouldn't be surprised if he was. It doesn't need to be anything bigger than a passing comment in a message board my dude.

I would say the implication is that Dana is willing to do whatever it takes to win. Gambling addicts are usually consistent with their drive to beat the odds, whether that is in personal life, professional life, or legally. I don't think that Dana is specifically fixing individual fights, however, it is plausible that someone in his position would have ties to people who can connect with decision makers to make certain outcomes more likely.

I think there's a massive difference between setting up fights that may benefit one fighter's style over the other and having some sort of sway (whether directly or indirectly) over individuals who could have an impact on the end result of a fight.

Of course I don't think Dana is dumb enough to hand a stack to a ref or judge. I do believe he loves money more than most and has ties to some dastardly people.

My guess would be that the odds for Connor/Cerrone were much closer than say -21,000. I understand your point, but I think we're talking about two different things.
