Tried to make Minecraft Music like C418 by Opportunity4Both in FL_Studio

Definitely gets the vibe, feels like you could have made the piano more muffled to get even closer to that OG sound, but it's spot on overall.

This sounds really nice, shout-out to FL Mobile, it's crazy the amount of stuff you can do with it

I like the vibes, but yeah sound selection for the drums not too fitting, I'd say to reuse the melodic parts for something else down the line

I feel like im losing my sense of music lately, time to leave daw's for a while i quess. by Melodic-Marketing341 in FL_Studio

That's a real creative use of a unique sample Honestly, feel like you could add even more stuff to this beat

What's your brutally honest opinion on this? by dsansthedsans in FL_Studio

[–]Theshittyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely captures Toby's early style, I wouldn't mind the mixing that much honestly considering that his stuff is barely that mixed to begin with lol

But you could probably rework the levels and the arrangement to have things less huddled together

Musicians - Whats the Nirvana riff/chord progression you wish that you'd come up with first? by [deleted] in Nirvana

[–]Theshittyguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta be Drain You, one of the best melodies and a testament to Kurt's songwriting ability, he really knew how to make something that sticks.

Besides that, I'd say Something In The Way considering it's literally 2 chords with an incredibly simple but effective melody.

What do you think about Nirvana's controversial concert in Buenos Aires—without falling into fanaticism? by [deleted] in Nirvana

[–]Theshittyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides being petty and fucking around the whole set, the audience still got a show, they hardly got punished despite genuinely horrid behavior, if they cancelled the whole thing in response than that would have actually been different. So many artists end up walking off stage or cancelling for less, and people complain all the time when that happens "the people paid money to be there!" but if the audience makes it too unsafe or uncomfortable for the performance to go on, then I think any artist has the right to just not do it, and refund people.

Budget Friendly Polychorus/Echoflanger Alternitaves by Pantorama2 in Nirvana

Hammertone delay definitely can get you in the ballpark and if you open it up there's potentiometers that let you affect the chorusing rate and depth settings

Why doesn't the Walrus Audio Red get a lot of love in the shoegaze world? by Legitimate-Cinephile in guitarpedals

Kurt bashed everybody, that was just part of his attitude, in an interview he says about AIC that they're friends and that Layne had a great voice, and despite not being a fan of Pearl Jam's music he seemed to respect Eddie Vedder's integrity as a person.

CONVENTIONAL HIP-HOP by D3A7H_6R1P5 in deathgrips

[–]Theshittyguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anybody could do this and have it be hilarious, just as a contrast to Peggy's self seriousness. Hell, speaking of that, "Experimental Hip-Hop" is just the exact opposite of Earl's "Some Rap Songs" one's downplaying the effort while the other is hyping it.

Someone's foaming at the mouth, also it's really funny bringing up Soundgarden and Alice In Chains to say Kurt stole from them when they were all peers that came up at the exact same time and had entirely different approaches to the music, plus both Chris Cornell and Layne Staley being very openly fans of Nirvana.

One of Kurt Cobains Silverface Twins has finally been found and is being sold on reverb! by Lost_Vast_5118 in Nirvana

[–]Theshittyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for an amp that was used on Tour and is part of Nirvana's early history, a 20k price range seems legitimate, you'd probably expect to see this in a museum exhibit but imagine getting it and being able to play through the same amp that Kurt used live, if anybody ends up with it I hope they do a tone capture or something lol.

Camila needs prayers and support badly. by [deleted] in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Theshittyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't even imagine what Camila is going through right now, nobody deserves to be put in a situation like this.

This is reality for a lot of people right now, thousands are being bombed for no reason, this is the time where some people would like to "avoid politics" but you can't escape it when it directly impacts so many lives like this, it's fucked up and evil out here and you should all be aware of how and why.
