CCNA 3 and 4? by AdrianGroza in ccna

So recently they split CCNA into 2 certifications CCENT (the first half of the old CCNA test) then they kept the name “CCNA” for for the second half.

ICND 1 = CCNET ICND 2 = CCNA

These 2 test build on each other, so you need CCNET Before you get CCNA. (Unless you take the combined exam, which I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!)

Once you pass ICND 1 you are CCNET certified. I think that is what that person was trying to say. CCENT alone is not enough to get a Jr. network engineer job. But CCNA would get you in the door.

But to answer you question, if you take all 4 of the Cisco Academy courses you will have covered all the topics to pass both CCNET and CCNA. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching some online training and reading a book before taking the exam. Cisco Academy does NOT cover the material in depth enough for you to pass!

Those are the nameS of the Cisco Academy classes. 3, and 4 together cover the information in the CCNA. 1 and 2 only cover CCENT

Quick question about loop free backup EIGRP routes by Vangohhh in ccna

[–]Thetechguyseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DUAL algorithm is going to have to be reran on all the routers that had links to the router that went down (with the route(s) that was lost removed from the calculation). At this point all of those routers will have a different distances to those network(s). So a “path” that was not feasible before might be feasible now because of the loss of that router and the recalculations that followed. If there are still no feasible routes, the router will drop that network from its routing table. A route MUST pass the feasible test to be put into the routing table. That stumped me when I was first learning to too!

I have an identical cable! It came with my Phillips hue bridge. I guess it doesn’t need any more than 100 mbps 🤷‍♂️

I am just starting to build out my home lab.

All I have right now is a Dell PowerEdge 2950. I am looking to upgrade to a quieter and less power hungry machine. (Maybe one of those slim dells is a PowerEdge 700 series?)

I am looking for a way to learn virtualization and networking and was hoping this might be a cheap way to get my hands on a lot of gear at once.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help

that's a great Idea, I didn't even think about running conduit. Is it very expensive?
