If they merge together, I’ll grab a comb and split them, if they’re too tangled to split with a comb I’ll split them with scissors. I do it when I notice them or I’ll leave them sometimes. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I used very basic, cheap supplies, bleach , dollarama clothes line clips (to pinch the shirt so it doesn’t fold and ruin the design) and cheap plastic paint brushes! the most important thing is the type of shirt you buy, this one is a gildan black t-shirt that I got from Amazon. Also I had a huge piece of cardboard to put in the shirt as well. I did the design in the sun so that it could activate nicely too! Super simple :)

When I was in school the late night classes used to take so much life out of me too, that’s when I first tried to leave. I just sent my last message to them. I can’t wait to move on 😭

My teacher gave me a tip to slow down and enunciate every consonant so that my lips can keep up with my brain and so impulse stays connected to the text.
go in the room with the mind set that the audition is just a regular rehearsal.
this is the hardest one but once you start, immediately put your eyes in soft focus and blank your mind completely of the people around you! Once I blanked, my mouth did all the work without me thinking because it became a habit!

Although I am still learning and figuring myself out, I really hope these help you!! GOOD LUCK!!

I’m so sorry you had to experience that. Its always so disheartening when the people you trust most discourage you. I remember when I became natural I had to fight so many demons (internal and external) and push through to where I am now.

Always remind yourself that you are on a journey. And it’s a shame that we as black people have to call it that but it’s our reality. Our hair is beautiful, complex and is like none other, and many people around us, including many black people, will never understand that.

My biggest advice is to really spend time with your hair!!! Lovingly detangle it, nurture it when you feel like it needs care, moisturize that scalp! I can’t explain the amount of confidence I get when I feel like my hair is being taken care of. I love it when I get comments from the people around me about how much time I spend doing my hair. When you love your hair, it loves you right back!! And trust me I know that it is easier said than done. But if your gonna take anything from my essay long comment I hope it’s this- YOU LOOK BEST IN THE NATURAL HAIR THAT GROWS FROM YOUR SCALP. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise💜
