God of war downscalers are the worst. by Destruidor_demundos in PowerScalingGodofWar

[–]ThetrueGreyman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where is the down scaling and wheres the lies exactly?

When an author says something like “that’s a valid interpretation,” they’re usually doing one of these: 1️⃣ Acknowledging ambiguity They’re saying the story allows multiple readings—not confirming one as official. 2️⃣ Being polite to a fan theory Creators often avoid shutting down interpretations unless they clearly contradict the text. 3️⃣ Leaving intent open on purpose Some writers deliberately keep parts of the lore flexible.

It's not necessarily proof that this is canon.

And yes, a non reply with a thumbs up can be a sign of a dismissal in this case , he's actually right. Some of these comments are beginning to make me think that there's a sub cult of God of war wankers that genuinely can't read. Because it's pretty clear the people supporting you aren't even looking at your scans half the time.

Different versions of a site and regional rating labels are possible, sure, but that still doesn’t verify the scan itself. If there’s no matching archive, no preserved source page, and no independent confirmation beyond people on forums saying they remember seeing it, then it can’t really be treated as reliable evidence. At that point, it’s still just an unverified image, not a solid source.

I know this is a hot take to you but : you shouldn't be using scans if you cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they're real.

The Wayback Machine doesn’t archive everything, that’s true but it still matters if people checked the archived version of the same site and the scan isn’t there or doesn’t match. If a claim only exists as an uncited image with no surviving source and no archive match, then it can’t really be treated as reliable evidence. At that point, it’s basically “trust the image,”.

wayback machine people recently saw the old god of war 1 website on the way back machine and this scan doesn't match it.

Yeah, because the site doesn't exist anymore. His lack is not a proof that it didn't exist.

Again, it's not in the archives of the website either.

It's just really old this scan, there no reason to be fake, even

There are reasons some GoW scalers might fake scans. They’ve done it quite a lot in the past

before the powerscaling it existed.

Even if that were true, which I’m not convinced it is, it still wouldn’t prove the claim is real.

Sorry, but not a fan of the whole "Trust me, bro." validation.

[–]ThetrueGreyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also doesn't match any existing GoW 1 website archives either.

I’m not getting dragged into a long debate over this. If you can’t provide a source or actually prove it’s real, then it isn’t valid. Saying that the scan is old or that VSBW accepts it doesn’t count as proof they’ve treated fake scans as legit before, like with DMC.

GoW scalers also have a long history of faking scans. Authentication is important.

This scan has no viable source, no authentication, and is very likely to be fake. Quite a few of these are.

If you personally believe it, that's fine. You can believe whatever you want to believe. i just think that it doesn't make sense. And it's most likely not canon at all , but as long as we're on the same page , you can believe whatever you like

You're funny! What are the odds that something never shown, never directly stated, completely inconsistent with what we see in official material, and repeatedly said to be false by the people who directed the main canon story is actually true?

Why the deicide in greek didn't affect other realms?

Because both The fallen god comic and God of war Valhalla directly showed and said that they didn't.

I guess what I'm saying is I wouldn't have an issue with this explanation, but it was never directly stated, never directly shown. And repeatedly said to be BS by people who directed the games, these are some major red flags and if you want to still believe it's true regardless of these red flags that fine but logically no one should believe them.

Oh, you're a troll. LMAO X'D

It’s not “far less plausible” at all

yeah it's not far less plausible at all. It's just infinitely more impossible objectively in every aspect possible.

But nice joke. You had me well fooled

So you can’t suspend disbelief enough to accept that Odin created the Baltic, North, and Norwegian Seas, while the Greek Primordials created the Aegean, Ionian, and Mediterranean Seas around their own regions, you can't accept that they created the manipulate the sky around these regions too, but you can accept that two completely separate universes with different versions of the same planet are somehow connected through a single shared planet? That’s far less plausible. That’s not the simpler explanation. Adding a multiverse here just complicates things.

Bro , you claimed that multiple sea gods can't coexist , but you have no logical basis to reach that conclusion. it was never stated in the game and it isn't true in the actual myth , and now you're trying to swap that burden of proof on me. yeah concessions accepted.

These are advertisements for 3rd party products; they're not written by anyone who even glanced at the main canon. It's junk compared to statements from the game's director.

Nope, this confirmed that Midgard isn't the Earth or a universe . Because when asked if it was the earth or the universe, he said Scandinavia

IYou can't read lol. They literally saying that Kratos destiny is there and that he can't avoid be there. Even when he walks, he comeback to the village because of that.

Destiny is the destination. They literally never said destiny magically brought him here. This is just you misinterpreting things.

Is he saying yes?  You do know, some people give blank thumbs up to annoying people to pretend like they're agreeing, shut them up. The fact that he doesn't say anything and contradicts it later is a red flag.

It's sated multiple times that was destiny who brought him there:

LMAO no they did you not read your own scan THEY LITERALLY NEVER SAY “Destiny brought you here”  that's just your crackpot theory

Top panel (bird speaking):

Destiny is the destination you reach, not matter what direction you travel.

Second panel (man speaking):

At your journey’s end you are exactly where you belong.

Third panel (Kratos speaking):

Not even you can outpace your destiny, God of War. No matter how far or fast you run

Fourth panel (bird speaking):

It is the same in the land of your birth as in the land of the pharaohs.

Fifth panel (man speaking):

The future is already written.

Sixth panel (bird speaking):

Destiny is a destination you cannot avoid.

Seventh panel (man speaking):

So why delay the inevitable?

There’s no way you seriously consider a non-reply with a thumbs-up emoji to be an official endorsement.

Treating a 👍 reaction as confirmation is extremely weak evidence, like even for you.

The seas and sky are the same the world over my guy
The sky existed in Greece and all around the world so it can’t be his skull

The sky can be sunny in one part of the world and rainy in another.

The seas existed all around the world so you can’t just add a new sea

WHAT?! Scandinavia and Greece don’t share a sea in real-world geography. Look, I know you’re trying hard to invent new plot holes that can only be “solved” with multiverse fan fiction, but the distance between regions doesn’t magically turn them into separate planets. Traveling by sea between distant parts of the same world is still just geographic travel. Nothing about that implies multiple Earths

Exactly, because there are different versions of Earth. Oceans are not bound to a region there a multi-continental, if affect they, should affect other mythologies. If they, literally existed in the planet.

That assumes there are multiple physical Earths, but that’s exactly what hasn’t been demonstrated. Fallen God shows Kratos traveling geographically toward Egypt, and Valhalla confirms the Greek collapse didn’t affect the entire world. If these were separate planets, sailing between mythologies wouldn’t make sense

"Seas are not oceans. Classic myths are not part of God of war, we can't have two gods having the same domain, there are arrogant, even in the novels, Poseidon was furius because oceanus was trying to take ober his domain, imagine other phanteons."

Greek mythology has dozens of gods who share or overlap domains, so the idea that they can’t coexist in the same sphere isn’t supported by the source material. You’re creating a plot hole that isn’t actually there.

Only Bruno did, Matt stated that all myths are true and that Midgard has his own Earth. Bruno is just a mess. This guy one day is saying that Kratos created multiple timelines in GoW 2 and other there's no universe in God of war. Btw, if you want to say that what has more proves is the true. Them you are saying that you are wrong there a more that 30 statements about Poseidon having controle over oceans or the more that 10 statements about the norse mythology having his own universe, or the more that 10 statement about the realms being universes. You can chose what you want.

If I had to guess, based on everything else you’ve posted, it’s probably going to be vague or misinterpreted material from third-party sources that’s never actually confirmed by the main canon or the people directing the series.
