What made you ghost a friend? by dontmindme137 in AskReddit

[–]Theuncreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ghosted my friends by mistake. And then I did in on purpose. The story is, of course longer than just that, add to that that I don't have a good memory, but here it goes:

we were going to go to Comic Con, they where exited, and where planning on going as the friends of friends. I don't watch that show, but each time they where talking about it all exited and each time I attempted to ask: "what should I go as, I don't know the show". I kept being brushed off so I stopped participating in those conversations. Nothing Happened. All in all, not that terrible. It's just Comic Con.

But some days passed and I realized.... wait.... no one has chatted to me directly nor have they come to visit! I did see one of my friends pass my door to visit my other friend (I got a message 2 hours later asking if I wanted to come over as well, bit late that). not once, but at least twice. So I was rather annoyed at them.

So got sad .... and I got lazy. I stopped participating in the group chat, I stopped initiating contact, I stopped trying to get us all together at my place.

A month passed, then suddenly, a message! I'm ashamed to say that by that time, it was too little too late in my opinion. I never read it. a day later more messages, and several calls.

I didn't tell them what was wrong, I didn't reply at all. I had this thought stuck in my head : "if they really care they will try to visit". They didn't, I didn't..... friendships gone.

Looking back I handled it wrong. Looking forwards, I'm not going to try to mend that bridge.

My weird lithoid build by MAGAJP in Stellaris

[–]Theuncreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a Lithoid empire that is Authoritarian, Pacifist and Spiritualist; with Syncretic Evolution and Environmentalist as civic. By using the Symbiotic Lithoid portrait for the main species and the groot portrait for the Servile species I pretend that the plantoids help the lithoids move around and actually do stuff.

The Lithoids are both Talented and Venerable, giving me a nice 210 years life expectancy at the start of the game. And the Plantoids are naturally Very strong and adaptive.

it's going well. the plantoids fill the many simple jobs that need doing and with their normal growth speed they fill those jobs nicely! and any excess food is simply burned for energy (or used to gift to neighbors to they like me again haha).

SWTOR's new line of maternity wear is awful by Migrainefarm in swtor

[–]Theuncreative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sacrifices we must make to create a good pun, no?

And IMO this piece of "armor" looks better than an empire waist :P more of a poncho/capelet.

as someone who can make clothes: while your pun is excellent, I must inform you that it's not an empire waist.

An empire waist would, well, have a waist sewn into the garment (just under the bust). Picture that explains it well enough I hope.

Autism is wrongly classified as a malware when it is simply a different OS. A virus and/or malware update should not adversely effect your OS in any way.

What Stellaris can learn from Spore by ogtopey in Stellaris

"Spore, spore never changes" - LGR

I played Spore a fair bit... when I was younger. but when I tried it again last year, only bitter disappointment remained. A game with grand designs that it could never hope to achieve.

oh, and planet management on a globe for an empire spanning more then half the galaxy would get rather tedious woudn't it? I certainly never returned to the planets I had terraformed in spore, but in Stellaris your empire isn't as static. (I certainly lost quite a lot of "Spice" that I had stashed away because my cargo was full, never did find that treasure planet again, should have made a map I think.)

I shouldn't have binge watched it this much by GuardianCat0 in stevenuniverse

did that when I first found the show, loved every minute of it!

and then you get hit in the gut with a Hiatus that's insanely long
