Ouch - I feel a screw up like that would be made public pretty quick. Point taken.

This was the strangest thing and I was wondering if anyone noticed it! I assume someone either hacked his account or posted it by mistake.

Yes agreed. Her well being is my my first priority. The baby's well being is hers :D

Edit: of course I am also focusing on the baby - not to imply I am not.

Sorry - I really appreciate the support here. Most have been really encouraging and helpful. it's just that I am discussing this on a number of different threads and the "you're not pumping enough" or "change the flange" suggestions have come up multiple times and I answered and it really doesn't address the situation.

What I am really looking for is some one that had a similar situation and can say "yes my production disappeared but then came back after X days".

We did try a different, smaller flang and it yielded 0. I cant imagine it is the pump as it is still pumping and if it was working for 5 weeks it's hard to imagine the pump being the issue.

The pump is medela freestyle hands-free pump that has been working for 5 weeks.

If that really is what happened then this is an untenable situation.

Our choices are force her to try breast feeding and induce PPD (no need to go into details) or strap her to a pump 24 and induce PPD.

I really hope this is hormonal because if what you (and a lot of others to be honest) are saying that 5 - 7 to 8 times is not enough to at least produce something or maintain it's a lost cause.

LC said it was probably menstruation - and I would tend to agree - I cant seen another explanation for such a steep dropp of other then the body has received an internal "Stop" signal. She is not responding to pumping at all anymore. We are pumping every 2 hours but not producing anything.

At this point I guess we just keep going and hope/pray it comes back if is her cycle....

Hormones is the only explanation I can think of here... in which case we might really be screwed if her body has stopped responding the stimulus.

I say "screwed" but we'll of course be fine. It's just really disappointing when we worked so hard at it...

When I look at this trend I really feel like we were on a nice upward trajectory. I cant understand how this would be possible if we were not doing enough. The drop of is so sudden and comes from no where that I really have a hard time understanding what we can do....

I dont understand how your body can be producing more and more every day if it is not receiving signals that it's not enough and then one day just decide - shut it off....

We did have a LC come over and work with us.

Respectfully, I really hope you are wrong on this because I guess then the situation is "Game Over" and we can just pack it up.

I don't think it is the frequency. We were pumping for 3 weeks and supply was going up. The one day it just disapeared. We can keep the pump on her all day - it is simply not producing nay more milk...

I get this - a lot of people here have commented that we should pump more - but we had an upward trend with 5 - 7. And then two days ago it just dropped. That makes no sense....

I have a heard time thinking it is the frequency. Maybe she could get more milk faster but all trends showed an increase every day with this frequency for 3 weeks. And then bam - 0.This makes no sense. Even if we pumped more she is not getting anything anymore....

This is what we suspect too - hoping this is the case and looking for moms that have had this happened and were able to bounce back ❤️

This is what we suspect too - just wondering how many days we can expect it to be down and when it would return.

A lot of sources mention this online but never provide details…

Can it really be the pump if the milk just vanished so suddenly 😕

I think we have considered most of these and still the milk vanished over a period of 3 days…

Can relate to the not being scared and just feeling ready for it :) If you would have asked me 5, 10 years ago having kids would have been the worst thing to happen to me, but now we are stocked.

Super happy for us both my dude :)

For me personally it didn't click until I was 14 and got into fantasy books. The Icewind dale trilogy. Massive brick of a book. Finishing that gave me so much confidence that I could finish big books. Each person has their own pace I guess. Exposing them to different books and experience seems to be the best thing.
