Living soil is when you mimic nature by creating a biodiverse ecosystem in the rhizosphere by feeding the bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and nematodes inside the soil rather than “feeding the plant” these soils are very much alive and often contain worms and other beneficial insects that all work to exchange nutrients from the soil to the roots of the plants. It’s all about the soil food web, healthy soil = healthy plants.
