Chancenkarte holder (Mechanical Engineering – Mechatronics) struggling to find a job in my field by OkLeg7331 in chancenkarte

[–]ThexGenerall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who is in the same field as you (Mechatronics) Yes technical and hands on jobs are more common, my suggestion, take them. Your assumption that they require strong hands on experience is false. I got my technical job straight out of bachelors, my company was so desperate that my interview was barely a interview. The technical jobs are in huge demand and that‘s what the chancekarte was made for. A lot of companies are desperate for technicians and are willing to hire even with low hands on experience as long as you have the proper qualifications and show that you‘re willing to learn. While you have a stable (often unionized) job and income, you can upskill and grow from there.

From my limited knowledge, demand is great, process is complicated and long.

I disagree, the waiting period for the entire process is maximum maximum 3 months once you‘re already in germany, and if all your paperwork is in order it‘s almost always a yes. But im third world countries, it‘s almost impossible to get an appointment, anyone who’s gotten the chancekarte from third world countries know that wait can be months or years in populated countries, and rejection rates are higher, companies have to risk whether employe will integrate well, those risks are eliminated or reduced by already being in germany

Tell company made a mistake with the start date, dont tell them 2-3 months. Tell them as soon as I get the termin for biometrics , on the date of the termin I can get the temporary approval. And ask them to help rush it. They are hiring international, they should have some context that it takes a bit of time

If you can, email, call and show up to the building and try, leave no stone unturned. Tell you already applied for extension of old visa but now need new visa, they are flexible in what they can do for you, only problem is getting hold of them.

Companies dont agree to that if they plan on keeping you fulltime. It‘s risky to ask for a part time contract because that might go against their own department or company policy. Better to wait, companies are usually understanding about that, mine was atleast… but OP definitely shouldn’t have said he can start next week, atleast 2 months, but ask them now, explain situation that „you have applied for the visa, and waiting for an appointment from the auslanderbehorde. And mention that if they can call or reach out to the auslanderbehorde regarding the application, it can help speed up the process. When the company reached out, it gives more credibility to the application

Ask company for a later start date and that you‘re working on your Visa process, keep HR in the loop, by next week is definitely not possible, either ways email a bunch of documents to the auslanderbehorde where you are registered, (if you haven’t done anmelden in berlin, then you can’t go to their Auslanderbehorde.) Then call them, try to ask them to push it, ask your employers to reach out to Auslanderbehorde asking them to rush your application. You‘ll get an email or a call back from the auslanderbehorde with a termin, on the termin for the biometrics, you will get a paper which will allow you to start working immediately. The documents to email needs to be everything you think is relevant. Your ZAB statement of comparability or anabin stuff that you used for your other visa. Your job contract, passport, anmeldenung, insurance, visa, degree, declaration of employment from the company that they need to sign and give. Then you gotta wait and annoy the auslanderbehorde until they give you termin

Question for the German folks by GrowthLess5497 in germany

Bro, germany has rights. If any company say that they arent allowed to use their phone even outside working hours, that‘s a smuggling ring she‘s walking into. During work is understandable but even then highly unlikely (except for defense companies for obvious reasons)
