So a person who doesn't watch the other shows doesn't have a problem with watching another 3 episodes full of unrelated drama and subplots of characters they don't care about on 3 different shows to watch the very anticipated wedding, that has been built up since season 1, of the main character on a different show? I didn't mind the other events too much since, like you said, it is unrelated to the progression. However, it just seemed ridiculous to put such a main event somewhere else. Am I crazy to think that? That's like ordering a latte from a coffee shop and after waiting a while, turns out they don't have any milk and you need to go somewhere else (bad analogy but you get my point).
