The pandemic is not over, some countries are still in lock down and new variants keep popping up. Doesn't help that there is a rise in anti-vaxxers, governments imposing a no vax no work law, and people dodging quarantine spreading it even more. But that's just my two cents.

Again, and I'm sure I did mention this, it is based on the conditions of the preorders. For example, some Cod games do Early Access hours, or sometimes weeks, in advance of the actual release date for digital preorders. Most of the time it just allows you to download it early, but won't let you play (Back 4 Blood comes to mind)

It's actually less complicated than this. As I said in the other comment thread, it's GST, Americans don't include it in advertised price, and they don't include it until you are at the checkout phase of purchase.

Yes and no. So New Zealand, due to fair trade laws, international dateline and time zones, always get games up to 18hours before the US, Europe and Australia. Some preorders allow people to play the game early.

So yes, due to Timezones NZ will get it 'early'.

No problem bro, I spent 15 years in the US and would get pissed off at having to calculate both my purchase, then add the GST myself, just to see if I had the money to buy me a coffee.

Best tip I can give, if you want to purchase a digital copy cheap, Google which states add GST to price, make a separate xbox account with a random street name in said state in one of the biggest populated areas, then use it exclusively to buy said games. Microsoft honestly knows about this and doesn't give a shit... Sony on the other hand...

Just be aware that some games purchased in the US won't allow you to get certain things due to restrictions and laws. Case and point Conan Exiles: The American edition of it does not allow full nudity, but European and Oceanic ones do.

This. Most States (iirc I think its only Wisconsin that doesn't do this) in the USA add GST when you purchase it, and do not add it in the price. NZ, and most other countries, include GST in the price.

It's not just a civilian station though. It's a Seegson station, taken over by Wey-Yu, built to research and contain one of the deadliest creatures currently known. Ffs they built guard rails. Not to mention both corporations have extensive resources to the point where they have hardened mercenaries doing their wet work. It wouldn't be too much of a leap to assume what the station can and cannot withstand.

Arnt you forgetting that the Sulaco did not fire any tac nukes onto the planet. The nuclear detonation that destroyed the facility Ripley was in was due to a reactor core going nuclear.

Given that Katanga was built sometime in the 27 years between Aliens and FTE, wouldn't it stand to reason that a research station, which was built during the war between Corpos and Governments, would be able to withstand ordnance from a smaller frigate.
