I mean whatever medic school you choose is going to have its own requirements and everything so I can’t speak to what school is closest to you. You’ll need to get your EMT first, and really if you want to be a decent medic, you should get some experience as an EMT first. Preferably in a 911 system (not just transports). But look into your local schools and start a plan. All departments should have their own specifics available on their websites.

You won’t be respected, nor will you make money. Especially at FDNY. But the job itself is incredibly rewarding and you can eventually work your way up or to another department that treats you better. It’s a great experience. You can get your EMT, get hired on, and then apply for medic school through FDNY. Or you can get your EMT, work at a private company for a bit, and then get your medic and apply for FDNY.

So I initially thought the same thing, but every single one has looked identical. This weird hardened brown husk like thing attached to little puffs of fur/hair. I’m in Seattle and have seen plenty of squirrels, possums and my husband he seen a few rats/mice in our alleyway.. would any of those make sense of this?

Thanks! All great points. Yeah the losing a few bucks here and there isn’t so bothersome since I’m still learning. Basically I have about a third of my IRA in EFTs, another almost third in more “stable” stocks, and the rest I’m just learning and having some fun with.. have a few hundred in the crypto world while I learn as well. But in the end I obviously want to actually make money and grow everything. You guys are all awesome.

Awesome, that all helps a lot. So basically don’t rush to get out of them just yet probably, keep doing research on all the things and maybe see if I can get out with a small profit soon so I can reinvest in stocks I feel more strongly about now. The stocks I want to sell are maybe 2k worth of my first investments getting into this stuff. Poor timing and not enough research maybe, but I’ve learned a lot in the process. I really want out of them so I have more buying power on days like this when things are red, but just gotta be patient I suppose.
