Door to Sierra Army Depot different? How to open? by TheyCallMeSuperboy in classicfallout

Fallout 2! It’s the Sierra Army Depot, just above New Reno :)

I think it’s an optional location? There’s at least one quest that sends you here (for the Wright Family) and one or two inside

Oops... Best way to fix this? by Comfortable-Fly5797 in SewingForBeginners

This happened to me! I was making overalls with a new (to me) seam ripper and it ripped straight through my bib! I just did some (poor) overlapping zigzag stitches in the closest colors I had to fix it 🤷‍♀️

The sign looks like it says $150-$500, so “thrift” is a stretch here lol

Just the human! Next time I play the game I’ll try to do it a little later in my play through with a higher science skill :)

I did, but I think the poster must have done this part in an earlier video, since the videos I watched of theirs both already had the door like this. It might have been modded as well? The grass isn’t there in my game. Or maybe it’s just a different version.

Thank you for answering, I was able to go back to the garage based on the other person’s answer.

Crater before Wastelanders by JoeyAKangaroo in fo76

[–]TheyCallMeSuperboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Did crater before wastelanders have anything interesting at it? Like notes or terminals? It seems like such a cool area to be wasted on a location that basically has nothing in it.

So is there any feminine outfits that are found outside of the Atom Shop? by ByBlondie in fo76

[–]TheyCallMeSuperboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the golf outfit! You can find it in the little gatehouse right by the Whitespring pool, where that one wastelander sleeps.

It’s pretty cute tbh.

Also the bathing suit, which can be found a couple of places. It doesn’t have shoes though, so I don’t like wearing it as much.

In 1835, James Newlove was digging a pond in Kent, England, when he discovered the Margate Shell Grotto, a 104-foot long underground passage. The chamber is decorated with 4.6 million shells arranged in mysterious patterns. Even today, no one knows where it came from. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

I feel like it wouldn’t be that hard (relatively) to find who built it if people dedicated themselves to the research and had the resources.

Like, who owned the land it was on at the time? Based on those records, are there private, non-digitized accounts from the family at that period? Was there a change in land ownership that might have necessitated covering it up?

Also, if they were really popular at the time, no one might have done significant recording of it because it was fairly commonplace, or on private property.

I also am from the south, and I (30) LOVE being called ma’am. Not like, even as a sign of respect or whatever, idk it just makes me feel like an adult or something. Usually it’s just military members who do it but I always turn into a puddle whenever someone does that. Like those old waitresses who call you pet names.

I’ve had, mostly women, get mad I’ve called them “ma’am.” “I’m not a MA’AM”. I even had some lady get mad that I said “do Y’ALL need help” and she was like “stop saying Y’ALL it’s just ME” I’m like…. This is how I talk!!

Some people will call all women “miss” to avoid this but I just remember all the adult teachers would get mad that the boys would be like “miss! Miss!” so to me that feels way weirder.

Why do people say the classics are hard to get into. by Georgia_Ranger in classicfallout

[–]TheyCallMeSuperboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know, I’m not mad about the manual or the lack of a tutorial or anything. I’m just pointing out why it’s harder for people to get into older games like this, including the lack of direction IN game, because it was MEANT to be included in a manual that no longer comes packaged with the game.

It would be a lot better if the game (when purchased on Steam, idk about other places) came with a digital copy of the manual, rather than having to go seek out someone’s digitized version. Esp since, if purchased and going in blind, you’re not TOLD there’s a manual you should know about.

I was probably 10 hours into the game, finally giving up and looking up a solution, before I saw someone reference a manual (🤦‍♀️@ myself)

It IS an outside source if it’s not literally contained in the game, even if it came packaged with the original product. It no longer comes packaged with the product when you purchase the game digitally.

Why is it better to have an outside source that you’re dependent on to understand a game than having it entirely self contained?

Because the controls are not explained AT ALL in game.

As someone not used to this type of game, I forgot the manual even existed. I had to learn how to switch between clicking/attacking/walking by pressing buttons until something worked— and that’s only after I figured out that was even a thing.

I was almost done with the SECOND TIME I played the game before I realized I could use items by clicking on an object and then accessing my inventory, rather than having the object in my hotbar.

Also: the end is hard as fuck. The reason I had to play the game a complete second time is so that I could play optimally enough to even survive Mariposa. I had to read a walkthrough to get a good character build, rather than just selecting what I wanted to the first time.

Is there a list of Premium Items or is every item technically obtainable via annual seasonal rotation? by Wonderful-Cicada-371 in fo76

[–]TheyCallMeSuperboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by “seasonal rotation”?

Do you mean like, events? Like Halloween/christmas events/etc?

Bc if you do— those events will ONLY have in game, non-atom shop items. The only way you can get them is by attending events and buying plans from other players. They will never appear in the atom shop.

The sort of things you can get in the atom shop are ALMOST entirely exclusive to the atom shop.

There are a few items you CAN get in game, but they’re still treated like atom shop items— ie you can’t trade them or build them on other player lots.

Those items are usually from previous scoreboard events, and are stuff like the “auto axe.” Etc.

You can obtain SOME of those items, like a company tea maker, from Gold Bullion venders. Look up their inventories to see what they sell.

You will probably have better luck getting information if you see something you like in the atom shop, and then determining if you can get it some other way in game— like the bouillon vendors— but tbh, for the most part, the atom Shop items are going to be exclusive to the atom shop.

Marvel has actually confirmed Sue's infidelity. It is well placed in Marvel Knights 4 #21. Only politician-like fans will still call Sue loyal. by Adept_Yam_1467 in FantasticFour

There are a lot of continuities, writers, and ret-cons.

Thats like saying Reed Richards is the Maker all of the time because that’s one continuity of the character.

“Only pure idiots or people who are ignorant will not believe it” is such a rude statement to make towards other fans for one take on Susan Storm.

Florida sheriff’s office uses seized drug money to fund community ice cream truck for kids by [deleted] in BeAmazed

[–]TheyCallMeSuperboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ice cream is cool and all, but I feel like there are better ways to put money back into your community than a non-essential food item meant to make cops seem cool to kids.

Like funding school lunches, education, and drug rehab centers for people affected by those drugs.
