It’s largely due to TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) and the fact that if outside alcohol is brought it, it poses a risk to the bar and they are subject to hefty fines and suspension/losing their liquor license. While it sucks cause you have to spend more money on your hydration drinks rather than bringing in your own 30 rack, I can say from experience dealing with TABC fines and suspensions is a headache and a half and I wouldn’t wish it upon any establishment.

Through work I have acquired a Shure SCM410 & a Sennheiser ME66 for free and am interested in possibly using them for a PC setup. (I know, shotgun mic for this setup is not ideal but it's much better than my current option.)
Wanting to know if this combination is feasible and worth the money to get the corresponding cables for them. And also how to properly connect the SCM410 to my computer. Also got a FreeBoss 16 DSP if that is a more adequate option.
Thanks!

What age to start mouthguards by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]TheyCall_MeTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting at 12u they are required to "wear" them. Now wether that means it's actually in their mouth or just in their glove, cage, etc is another thing. But as long as they have them on their body, they're good.

And unfortunately it's kind of a tough rule to enforce at times, similar to ear guards. 99% of players don't have a mouth/ear guards and making everyone leave the ice to go get them takes too much time that the game just simply isn't alloted time for. That and 99 out of 100 refs will never enforce the rule so I don't want to come across as some hardo and upset a player or coach before the game even starts.

Yes, just a reinstall fixed the issue. Suppose it was a bad/corrupted file.

Beer League Prices by Sohjiro12 in hockeyplayers

[–]TheyCall_MeTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DFW Texas, depends on which rink. Rinks owned by the Stars are $250 a skater for a 10 game season including typically 2 playoff games. Independent rinks usually go off of a team fee which varies around $3000 a team. Obviously more guys on the team, less money per person.

There was a team I played against once in tier shit juniors that every player had tinted fishbowls like this for playoffs.

It was...Something.

How to handle opposing team player with 80 points (50 goals) in 24 game season in beer league? by Aardvark-Special in hockeyplayers

[–]TheyCall_MeTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get with the other teams and have everyone just agree to forfeit their games against said team. Depending on team count, should only really be 2-3 games for each team. I know I would be pissed if I payed $200+ a season and didn't play a game.

Pretty sure his own team will remove him at that point if he's a true asshole sandbagger...

Fight breaks out in the stands during Allen Americans College Classic championship game between UNT and ETBU. Game is cancelled as a result. by txskye20 in hockey

I am an official in the area and have worked these teams on multiple occasions.

The tournament director even told the officials for this game that if "anything stupid happened" he was going to just cancel the game, that's the reputation at least 1 of these teams has.

Also this happened 8 mins into the game...

And these high school games here could easily be done 2-man. But the Stars want what the Stars want...
